Just five days ago, Detective Matthew Gale was shot in the line of duty while responding to a barricaded perpetrator incident in Brooklyn.
Today, he was released from the hospital surrounded by his family, fellow officers, and the medical professionals who helped make that recovery possible.
Detective Gale put himself in harmβs way to protect others. His courage reflects the best of the NYPD and serves as a reminder of the risks our officers face every time they put on their uniform.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Kings County Hospital for their exceptional care. Please join me in keeping Detective Gale in your thoughts and prayers.ππ»

WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump speaks on economy at Mack Trucks in Pennsylvania
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/192FPNXbhB/
POTUS at the Mack Trucks facility in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania: "For more than 100 years, this legendary company has been making trucks right here in Eastern Pennsylvania, building the heavy duty machinery that keeps our economy rolling, our factories moving, and our industries roaring all across the nation. You are the men and women who put your pride and spirit into those beautiful words stamped on every Mack Truck that saysβMade in the USA." πΊπΈ
"Starting on my first day back in office...I stood up to the trade cheaters, and abusers, and violators of the world like no president has ever stood up before," says POTUS in Eastern Pennsylvania.
"I placed 50% tariffs on foreign copper, aluminum, and steel... I placed a 25% tariff on foreign automobiles, and, very importantly, I imposed a 25% tariff on medium and heavy duty trucks so that... American Roads will be filled with American Trucks."
"As you know, we just achieved a historic peace agreement with Iran to end the conflict... and most importantly, we are ensuring one thing very importantlyβ because this is why I did it... Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon, and they've agreed to that."
"The average price of gasoline nationwide is down 60 cents a gallon just from a short while ago," says POTUS in Eastern Pennsylvania.
"Our economy is ready to soar to levels the world has not seen before."
POTUS highlights the more than 32,000 new Pennsylvania jobs created under his administration, including 2,600 manufacturing jobs:
β Eli Lilly has announced a $3.5B investment to build a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, creating over 1,000 jobs
β Nokia is investing $30M to expand its semiconductor testing and packaging operations
β B. Braun has announced a $20M expansion of its medical device manufacturing operation in Allentown
POTUS: "Last 4th of July, I proudly signed the largest Tax Cuts in American History...We delivered No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Social Security...Our tax cuts are projected to boost take-home pay for Pennsylvanians by an average of more than $10,000 a year, per household."
POTUS: "A friend of mine, he's a very big real estate developer, but he's got a problem with speaking in front of crowds. He chokes β he chokes like a dog. He said, 'How do you do it?' I say, 'It's easy because there's so much love in the room.'" π€£β€οΈ
POTUS: "Iran has been great β IF Iran is reasonable, IF they're smart. Otherwise, we'll have to finish the job."
Sergeant Sam Elias with the Bethlehem, PA Police Department speaks on how POTUS' tax cut has benefitted his family:
"As a father of 6 children in a single income household, I can tell you, the Working Families Tax Cuts is a policy that helps my family... for my family, these savings have translated to what was once a day trip to the park is now an overnight stay at the Jersey Shore."
POTUS calls to the stage Pat McHugh, Jr., a Mack Trucks employee and Marine Corps veteran whose family has been proudly building Mack Trucks for generations:
"We work hard to build the trucks that helped build Americaβand we are proud that those trucks are built in the United States of America!" πΊπΈ
UFC Middleweight and Penn State wrestling legend NoBickal joins POTUS on stage in Pennsylvania:
"So grateful to President Trump for making an event that, in my mind, never seemed possible, happen β UFC Freedom 250 on the White House lawn... I don't think there are too many presidents that have the courage to do something like thatβ just so unbelievable."
THANK YOU, PENNSYLVANIA! πΊ
