ARSONIST ARRESTED: On June 9, witnesses reported a man intentionally starting a small brush fire in a field behind the Walmart on Camino Arroyo in unincorporated Gilroy. Sheriff’s deputies and Gilroy PD  officers responded, but the suspect ran off before they arrived. sccfiredept and Gilroy Fire quickly contained the flames to a 10-by-10-foot area, preventing further spread.

Deputies obtained photos of the suspect and created a flyer to generate leads. Within hours, the man was spotted on nearby valley water property at Camino Arroyo and Gilman Road. Deputies arrested him and later determined he is responsible for setting three fires in the area.

Strong teamwork and swift community reporting helped prevent a dangerous situation from becoming much worse. As fire conditions remain high, please stay alert and report any suspicious activity immediately.

Chicago does everything possible to limit what their police can do. Their State Safe-T Act is a disaster that turns loose criminals. They have soft on crime judges and the mayor makes excuses for gangsters and marauding teens who run wild. Often with guns. The Mayor cancelled ShotSpotter and so far 80+ people were left to die from bullet wounds until discovered hours later. But this guy has the audacity or stupidity to blame Trump. Maybe this nonsense works in Chicago. I don’t know. But sane people in the rest of the nation wonders how Chicago could have elected such a dolt.

⚠️The US National Weather Service Tulsa Oklahoma has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Tulsa County.

Bill Smiley with Tulsa County Emergency Management says you should avoid unnecessary travel and stay alert for rising water.

Heavy rain is leading to quick rises in water across creeks, streets, low-lying areas, underpasses, and spots with poor drainage. Our highway crews have been assisting with drivers across the county this afternoon.

Turn around if you see water over the road. It doesn’t take much moving water to sweep a vehicle away. Stay off flooded streets and give crews room to work.
