Our thoughts are with the firefighters of the Searsmont Fire Department following todayโs lumber mill fire and explosion. UPDATE: A firefighter is dead, and at least 10 people, including firefighters, have been injured after an explosion and massive fireโฆ
Maine officials have identified the firefighter killed in the line of duty during Thursdayโs explosion and fire in Searsmont as 27-year-old Morrill Firefighter Andrew Cross.
According to the Maine Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and State Fire Marshal Shawn Esler, Firefighter Cross was killed during firefighting operations at the Robbins Lumber incident on Main Street in Searsmont.
โOur deepest sympathies, thoughts, and prayers are with the firefighterโs family, loved ones, and colleagues during this devastating time,โ Esler said in a statement.
Rest In Peace, Hero๐๐ค

Itโs easy to say crime is down when you simply stop responding to crimes. Every day, 45,000 vagrants commit arson, theft, drug crimes, animal abuse, and sex offenses in full public view, and they go completely ignored by this failed Mayor, and she has the audacity to say โcrime is downโ? She thinks youโre dumb.

Do you know what happened in the last 24 hours?
1. Late on Thursday night FBI agents landed at New York Stewart International Airport with Mohammad al Saadi in handcuffs. Al Saadi, the leader of an Iran-backed Iraqi terror group is allegedly responsible for more than 20 attacks across Europe and Canada and for planning attacks in the U.S..
2. Jose Enrique Martinez Flores, who goes by โChuqui," the highest ranking Tren de Aragua leader to be extradited to the U.S., also just landed in the U.S. in shackles. Flores allegedly oversaw TdAโs drug trafficking, extortion rackets, prostitution rings and murder operations.
Then, last night, in an operation that makes any fictional representation look amateurish, American operators, working with local Nigerian forces, killed Abu-Bilal-al-Minuki, the second in command for ISIS global operations, a man with the blood of countless innocents on his hands, including many Christians.
This is just one day in the Counterterrorism operations of President Donald Trump.
We salute the intelligence professionals, Law Enforcement Officers, Diplomats, Military operators and support personnel who make these operations possible 24/7.

During National Police Week, we pause to remember the officers who gave everything in service to others. For our Honor Guard, this isnโt just ceremony or tradition. Itโs carrying the weight of names, memories, and legacies with dignity and respect.
Behind every salute is a story.
Behind every folded flag is a family.
Behind every name etched in stone is a promise that they will never be forgotten.

NEW: A motorist rear ended a California Highway Patrol squad car on the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles early Saturday morning.
Preliminary information indicates the collision occurred along the westbound span of the 10 near La Cienega Boulevard in the Mid-City area just before 2:30 a.m.
It was not clear right away whether the CHP officer or the motorist involved were injured.
Initial reports from the scene indicated a possible DUI investigation was underway, but that detail was not confirmed by law enforcement.
Video from the scene shows the squad car sustained significant rear end damage, with the airbags deploying inside the vehicle.
More details will be provided as they become available.
