Indiana: An Evansville man is in custody following a violent domestic disturbance that left multiple victims injured, including a law enforcement officer, on the evening of May 2, 2026, authorities said.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and the Evansville Police Department, Christopher Andrew was arrested after allegedly assaulting several individuals at a home in the 1500 block of West Missouri Avenue.

Police said they were dispatched after an 11-year-old reported that Andrew had physically assaulted her and another person inside the home. A sheriff’s deputy located Andrew shortly after he was accused of fleeing the scene on foot and found him in a nearby alley.

Authorities say Andrew violently resisted arrest. During the confrontation, he was accused of repeatedly striking the deputy, biting him on the forearm for several seconds, and tore away the deputy’s portable radio before throwing it back at him. The deputy, along with a responding Evansville police officer, was eventually able to take him into custody. The deputy was reported with multiple scratches and a deep bite wound.

Three names of honorees will be added to the memorial this year:

• Supervisory Special Agent Dennis M. Wagner Jr., Federal Bureau of Investigation

New Mexico: A popular local cop watcher, or what has often been called a “First Amendment Auditor“, was arrested at a tense SWAT situation in the War Zone yesterday near the 1025 block of Valencia SE.

On Saturday, 44-year-old Charles Baldwin of Albuquerque was arrested for a slew of charges for allegedly not moving back from a newly established perimeter when Albuquerque Police Officers told him to move back from his early on original position.

On Saturday, officers responded to a car meetup on Staten Island.

The driver of one vehicle unlawfully sped away from cops, striking an officer.

That driver was taken into custody. One vehicle and four mopeds were seized.

A packed house and a great cause - April 29 at Comedy Works Downtown brought the laughs in support of the Friends of Boulder County Sheriff K9 Association (BCSK9). Established in 2017, this nonprofit is dedicated to providing financial support for both active and retired K9s of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office - helping ensure these dogs get the care and resources they deserve during and after their service.

We were also joined by Sarah Horbacewicz from News Colorado , who stopped by with K9 Uri to help promote what’s next.

Mark your calendars: K9 Guardians on the Green returns September 26, 2026 at Ute Creek Golf Course. This is the second annual golf tournament hosted by Friends of Boulder County Sheriff K9 - the only nonprofit solely dedicated to supporting BCSO’s K9 Unit. We’re aiming for 36 teams of four, with 20 hole sponsor opportunities and multiple sponsorship packages available. It’s a great chance to get out on the course, meet the deputies and their K9 partners, and directly support the mission.
