Here is video of the heroic actions that members of the NYPD took this morning to rescue children and adults from a burning home in Queens.

They were hurt. They had just been thrown to the ground by an explosion.

And in that moment, with no clear sense of what else they might be walking into, they made the decision to keep moving forward.

Their focus stayed exactly where it needed to be: on the people inside, on getting those children out, and on making sure that situation didn’t claim innocent lives.

NEW: A trooper with the Arizona Department of Public Safety has been hospitalized after a crash near Interstate 10 and the Estrella Parkway off-ramp.

DPS says the motor trooper was pursuing a vehicle when the crash occurred on Thursday, April 30.

He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to DPS.

BREAKING: Four students and an adult security guard were taken to the hospital after a reported stabbing at Tacoma's Foss High School, according to the Tacoma Fire Department and Tacoma Police Department.

Fire crews and police were called out to Foss High just before 1:40 p.m. on reports of a possible stabbing.

When firefighters arrived, they found five victims—four students and a security guard—and transported them to local hospitals.

The suspect was taken into custody and also taken to a hospital, according to police.
