TRAFFIC STOP TURNS INTO MAJOR DRUG BUST

Waller County deputies seized more than 15 pounds of MDMA during a traffic stop April 16. Authorities say the drugs were found in a shoebox in the trunk, along with a small amount of marijuana.

Two people — Gage Courtney and Deungray Prince — were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver. Courtney also faces a marijuana charge.

Sheriff’s officials say they’ll continue cracking down on drug activity to keep the community safe.

BREAKING: Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons submitted his resignation to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin today, Bill Melugin reports.

He will be staying on until May 31st to help with the transition. He oversaw roughly 584,000 ICE deportations since President Trump’s inauguration, and plans to go into the private sector and spend more time with his family.

Lyons has served in ICE for nearly 20 years, and previously served in the U.S. Air Force & as a city police officer. He is close with Tom Homan and has the respect of the ICE rank & file.

Finding his replacement will be one of DHS Secretary Mullin’s first big tasks.

BREAKING: Detectives from Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery-Homicide Division have arrested David Burke, a 21-year-old resident of Los Angeles, for the murder of Celeste Rivas.  Burke is being held without bail.

The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday for filing consideration.

Oregon: Our detectives have arrested a 37-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Given the gravity of the allegations and the suspect's proximity to a local school, detectives believe there may be unidentified victims.
