Colorado: A police officer was injured, and a suspect was fatally shot in Northern Colorado on Saturday when authorities say a man charged at officers with a knife.

According to the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team, Greeley police officers were called to the 5700 block of 20th Street around 9:20 a.m. when someone reported a suspicious man running with a knife. Police found the man running east down 20th Street from 59th Avenue and tried to block his path. That's when police say the man brandished the knife and charged at the officers. They fired their weapons, wounding the suspect, then attempted life-saving measures. The suspect was taken to a Greeley hospital, where he later died.

The Greeley Police Department said one of its officers suffered minor injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and then released. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for a full recovery🙏🏻

New York: Two Larchmont police officers were injured Friday evening when a manhole cover exploded near Chatsworth Ave & North Ave.

The Larchmont Fire Department received a call reporting smoke from a manhole near in the area of Chatsworth Avenue and North Avenue just after 8 p.m. on Friday.

Investigators point to an underground electrical issue as the likely cause of the fire.

Shortly after emergency services arrived, two additional manholes caught fire in the area.
Nearby buildings were checked for levels of carbon monoxide and other potential hazards.
Then, a manhole cover exploded.

Two police officers were injured in the explosion. One was taken to a local hospital.

UPDATE: from the NYPOST “A general aviation aircraft was briefly out of communication with the air traffic control tower at Palm Beach International Airport, but contact was ultimately established and the ground stop was lifted,” a White House official told The NY Post in a statement.

“There was no drone incursion or concern regarding Air Force One, which is not slated to take off until this evening, ”adding that “At no point was there any risk to AF1 or the President’s safety.”

DEVELOPING: An American Airlines flight from New York to Chicago (AA2819) was diverted to Detroit Metro Airport on Sunday, where the plane was isolated, according to Metro Detroit News.

In a statement, an FBI Detroit spokesperson said: “I can confirm that personnel from the FBI in Michigan are present (March 29, 2026) at DTW Airport, located in Romulus, Michigan, conducting law enforcement activities. There is no current threat to the public at this time.”
