Georgia: A Coweta County Deputy has been severely injured after his patrol deputy vehicle was struck by another vehicle on Sunday while conducting a traffic stop at the 49-mile marker of I-85 South.
According to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, the Deputy was transported to a local hospital and is now in stable condition.

Officials say the driver who struck the Deputy was arrested and seated in the back of the patrol car. They person was then taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries; however, they declined any medical treatment.
The Georgia State Patrol is currently leading the investigation. No further details have been released regarding the incident.

NEW: Interstate 65 Northbound was partially shut down after a crash involving a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper, according to Smokey Barn News.

The crash happened on Saturday around 10:45 a.m. near Cedar Grove Road.

A witness of the crash told Smokey Barn News that the trooper was struck on the southbound side while parked in the median monitoring traffic.
According to the witness, the patrol vehicle was hit so hard that it flipped multiple times into the northbound lanes.

Florida sadly announced the death of Deputy Steven Bruner after helping with evacuations during the Mossy Pond Wildfire.

"Deputy Bruner worked tirelessly yesterday assisting with evacuations during the fire, putting the safety of others before himself. Shortly after his shift ended, he suffered a medical emergency.

To know Bruner was to love him. He was the kind of person who would step up to help anyone without a second thought. Selfless, dedicated, and truly one of a kind."

Princeton NJ Police Department officers responded to a 911 call about a break-in on Coniston Court and spotted suspects fleeing the home. Moments later, the suspects crashed head-on into a patrol car then ran off. The police officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
