BREAKING OVERNIGHT: CMPD now says 5 people were shot in a shooting at a party last night in north Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place in north Charlotte Sunday evening.

The shooting took place along Hucks Road near Old Statesville Road and Interstate 485.

Witnesses say as many as 100 people were at a pool party when the gunfire started. CMPD says at least 50 of them were stuck at the scene and waiting for rides. They range from high school students to young adults, and officers are calling this a party gone wrong.

POTUS: "ICE has done very well. I'm a big believer that they should be able to wear masks when they go and hunt down murderers, criminals and others, but for purposes of the airport, I've requested that they take off the masks... and I believe they are willing to do that."

POTUS on the Democrat shutdown of DHS: This is all caused by the Democrats. Just so you know, all of this money was approved. Everything was approved. The Democrats want to have drug dealers, murderers, and open borders. That's what this is all about.

POTUS on temporarily lifting sanctions on Iranian oil at sea: "I just want to have as much oil in the system as possible... you have ships that are out there that are loaded up with oil. Rather than keep it there, I would rather see it go to the system. Any small amount of money that Iran gets is not going to have any difference in this war."

Q: "How are you going to get the enriched uranium?"

POTUS: "It's very easy. If we have a deal with them, we're going down and we'll take it ourselves."

POTUS: "Let in by Biden... it's devastating. These people were let in by Biden. We're getting them out, we're getting them out fast. That's why ICE is so important."

POTUS to a reporter who asks him to reveal possible military planning: "If you were in my position and I asked you that question, do you really believe I'd give you an answer? Crazy question. We don't talk about strategy."

POTUS: If you look at Joe Kent's statements, he was all for everything. All of a sudden, he wasn't. He said that Iran is not a threat?? Iran's been a threat for 47 years, and there's not a country in the world that doesn't agree.

POTUS on Iranian leadership: "Everybody's been killed from the regime... but we're dealing with some people that I find to be very reasonable, very solid. The people within know who they are, they're very respected—and maybe one of them will be exactly what we're looking for."

POTUS on SenMullin as the next DHS Secretary: "He's a fantastic guy. I think he's just the right guy. You all know him. He's a very open, smart guy... I think Markwayne is going to be fantastic."

Kentucky: Louisville Metro Police is investigating after an officer was hit by a car while investigating a deadly shooting in Shawnee Sunday night.

Around 9 p.m., police were called out to the 2900 block of Annie Street following a ShotSpotter alert for shots fired in the area. As officers were conducting their investigation, one officer was hit by a vehicle that was reportedly fleeing from the area. After that, officers located a man who had been shot. He died at the scene.

LMPD said the officer who was hit by the vehicle was conscious and alert as they were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Tennessee: A Shelby County Sheriff’s Office motorcycle deputy was injured after a crash Monday morning.

Just before 7:20 a.m., SCSO says the motorcycle deputy was involved in a two-vehicle crash at Winchester Road and Germantown Road in Southeast Shelby County.

The deputy was taken to Baptist East in non-critical condition. The other driver involved was not injured.

Chicago’s sanctuary politicians should be ashamed for dismissing the brutal murder of Sheridan Gorman as “wrong place, wrong time.”

March 20 - HSI LAX arrested Korean fugitive Bohyun Cho in Buena Park, CA. The arrest was made based on info provided by the Republic of Korea. He has an outstanding Korean warrant for embezzlement and had evaded capture for 2 years. He will be returned to Korea to face justice.

NEW: A Gaithersburg man was arrested for suspected DUI after striking a Maryland State trooper inside a construction zone on Sunday night.

The trooper's cruiser was situated with its lights on along the southbound side of I-270 at Watkins Mill Road.
Around 9:21pm a Honda driven by 35-year-old Job David Martinez rear-ended the trooper who was seated inside the cruiser. Police say Martinez attempted to flee the scene but was arrested by a second trooper at the work-site.
