K9 Bullet update!!
Bullet is the Morgan County K9
knocked unconscious and beaten yesterday during a break-in at Patton Lake. The sheriff has not released the identity of the suspect.
Bullet is partners with Deputy Tolan and has lived with the deputy and his wife for 3 years and is part of their family.
The Tolans say:
Bullet spent last night at the vet, today he had a CT scan and saw a Neurologist/Dentist. He is neurologically intact.
Bullet does have a fractured frontal sinus bone and 2 broken teeth. For now, they want to let the frontal sinus bone heal on its own while the vets monitor him closely. His two broken teeth will be fixed with a root canal in a few weeks.
He is not home yet, he’s staying another night at the vet for continued monitoring. Hopefully our boy will be home soon 💙

NEW: The Jacksonville Beach Florida Police Department said one juvenile and three adults were shot Saturday evening during a “takeover” event and are all expected to survive. The incident happened in the area of Beach Boulevard and 2nd Street.
Sergeant Tonya Tator said there was a group of people in an altercation, then shots were fired. Tator said one juvenile and three adults were shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made as officers are still processing the scene.
Tator also confirmed that this was a “takeover” event. Mayor Christine Hoffman said that they are working to prevent issues with these events before they arise.
“I want to make no mistake, there was a separate takeover event that was not permitted,” Hoffman said. “The organizers of the event, again, we are going to hold them as accountable as we possibly can.”

Minnesota: A Duluth police officer was stabbed early Saturday while engaging with a man accused of threatening paramedics and damaging an ambulance.
The incident unfolded around 12:35 a.m. Saturday near North 1st Avenue West and West 1st Street.
Officers were called after reports of an intoxicated man striking a Mayo Ambulance and threatening the paramedics inside.
Authorities say an officer located the man one block north of where the original call was reported. As the officer attempted to detain him, the man actively resisted and stabbed the officer in the leg during the struggle.
Kevin Daniel Couillard, 22, of Duluth, was taken into custody at the scene and booked into the Saint Louis County Jail. He is being held on probable cause for first-degree assault against a police officer, disorderly conduct, fleeing on foot, obstructing legal process and public nuisance. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
