On January 20, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., CHP officers conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation in the City of Commerce. During the stop, indicators of criminal activity were observed, prompting the deployment of K9 Axel. The K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to the discovery of approximately 45 pounds of suspected methamphetamine in the trunk of the vehicle.

One subject was taken into custody as a result of the investigation.

Arizona: A Tucson Police Department officer and his K-9 were injured after a crash involving a box truck on Thursday. TPD said the crash happened in the early morning on the southside of Tucson. 

On Jan. 22 around 3 a.m., a TPD officer and his K-9 sustained injuries after a crash near Ajo Way and Park Avenue. Tucson Police said the officer and K-9 were alert and conscious. 

The two were transported to a hospital, and the driver of the box truck was not injured, TPD said.

An investigation is underway after a crash in Clifton Park on Tuesday that injured a New York State Police trooper. State Police said the crash happened on Clifton County Road around 6:34 a.m.

State Police said a trooper was driving in a marked car north on Clifton County Road, and a vehicle was traveling east on Route 146. When the trooper passed through the intersection of Route 146, the vehicle driving east allegedly struck the trooper’s driver’s-side door before hitting another car driving west on Route 146, authorities said.

The trooper was not on the way to a call and was not using their lights or sirens at the time of the crash. Law enforcement said the trooper had minor injuries.

Nevada: A Highway Patrol trooper was injured in a crash on a Las Vegas freeway on Monday, according to a spokesperson.

The trooper was responding to help a stranded driver around 8:44 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 just north of Sahara Avenue, Trooper Shawn Haggstrom said.
While the trooper was inside their patrol vehicle, a car hit them from behind.

When a massive fire broke out at a commercial complex with multiple businesses near Valley View and Spring Mountain on December 26, 2025, LVMPD’s Drone as First Responder (DFR) Unit was requested to assist the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD).

Our DFR team responded immediately and provided live overhead drone video and thermal imaging to fire crews on the ground — helping identify hidden hot spots and reignitions that weren’t visible from street level.

In real-time, the drone team also assisted crews as firefighters climbed onto the roof to continue battling the blaze, keeping personnel informed of danger areas and heat signatures that could not be seen from below.

Through live video feeds and coordinated radio communication, CCFD was able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading — with no injuries to their personnel.

BREAKING: 3 injured in crash, shooting and fight in Arden-Arcade, Sacramento, California.

Three people were injured in a crash that was followed by a shooting and fight in Arden-Arcade, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District and Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. A fire engine was also struck by gunfire.

A Virginia State Police trooper was injured Wednesday morning during a tractor trailer crash on Interstate 81 in Rockingham County, according to VSP.

The incident happened around 5:47 a.m. near the 250-mie marker on I-81 northbound. The trooper was checking on two tractor trailers on the right shoulder of the interstate when a third tractor trailer traveling north hit the trooper’s vehicle, VSP said in a release.
