New York: Three people have been arrested following an investigation into a domestic dispute that left a Rochester Police Department officer with injuries on Friday.
According to RPD, officers were responding to a home on Bartlett Street to follow up on a domestic incident at 3:45 p.m. when the officer was allegedly assaulted.
At the time of the response, it was reported that 51-year-old Kina Wilcox was arrested at the scene for custodial interference. Police say during this arrest, she pulled away from the officer and began to hit him before pulling the corded microphone from his radio and hitting him with it.
18-year-old Kahmyia Coats, identified as Wilcoxβs daughter, allegedly entered the room and also began to hit the officer. Wilcoxβs 16-year-old son is accused of pushing the officer away as Wilcox and Coats continued to hit them.
The three were taken into custody following the response of backup unit officers.
The officer suffered injuries to the head and face as a result of the incident and has since been reported to be out of work for recovery.

UPDATE: The FBIβs Boston Field Office has announced that two men in Massachusetts have been arrested in connection with an explosion at Harvard Medical School on Saturday.
Logan David Patterson, 18, and Dominik Frank Cardoza, 20, were arrested in connection with offenses related to the use of an explosive device, the FBI said in a Tuesday news conference.
The arrests were made by the FBI's Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force, with assistance from the Harvard University Police Department.
Officials said that the pair caused the explosion by setting off a Roman candle firework. The firework went off inside a wooden locker in the fourth-floor research laboratory, which is part of the Department of Neurobiology, according to an affidavit.
Video surveillance captured the pair climbing scaffolding and entering the building before the blast, officials said.
Prosecutors said the men were visiting from Wentworth College, a nearby technical university, for Halloween social activities before the explosion.
Ted Dox, the special agent in charge of the FBI in Boston, said that the suspectsβ actions could have led to serious injuries.
