Blake Lockwood, 42 (top right), from Georgia, has been arrested and charged with a slew of counts, accused of nearly running over a 15-year-old girl as she was boarding a school bus on the morning of August 20. The incident was caught on the bus' dashboard camera showing Lockwood's pickup truck going around the bus as the school district driver, Shannon Banks (bottom right), repeatedly honks at him.
The United States would withdraw almost 5,000 troops from Afghanistan and close five bases within 135 days under a draft peace accord agreed with the Taliban, according to a U.S. envoy. The deal, reached after months of negotiations with representatives from the insurgent movement, must still be approved by U.S. President Donald Trump before it can be signed, the chief U.S. negotiator, Zalmay Khalilzad, said.

So Anti-Fun domestic terrorists promised they'd shut down our parade. This is what happened.
A teenager who called 911 claiming he heard gunshots at his Alabama home, has admitted to killing five members of his family, police say. Limestone County Sheriff's spokesman Stephen Young said that deputies responded to the scene at the 2,500 block of Ridge Road in Elkmont early Tuesday morning. He says deputies were called by the 14-year-old, who initially said he was downstairs in the home's basement when he heard gunshots on the home's upper floor. Deputies found one adult and two minors dead at the scene. Another adult and minor were hospitalized with critical injuries and later died.
Ohio cheerleader Brooke Skylar Richardson, 20, faces court to begin her murder trial for 'bashing in her newborn daughter's skull and burying her in the yard just days after her high school prom'. Richardson, an 18-year-old when she was alleged to have carried out the killing, faces charges of aggravated murder and involuntary manslaughter which could see her slapped with a life sentence if found guilty. Richardson delivered a healthy baby to term in July 2017 and then allegedly smashed her skull and may even have lit the infant on fire in an attempt to burn the corpse - although a forensic anthropologist later appeared to recant that claim. Richardson's attorneys say she experienced a stillbirth and buried a fetus delivered at 33 weeks in the backyard. The state however argue that she purposefully killed an infant born alive because she did not want to be pregnant.

Texas shooter 'failed background check due to mental health issues' but exploited loophole by purchasing weapon in private sale before going on shooting spree, killing seven people and injuring 22 others. The gunman in a West Texas rampage that left seven dead obtained his AR-style rifle through a private sale, allowing him to evade a federal background check that previously blocked him from getting a gun, according to a law enforcement official. The official spoke to The Associated Press Tuesday on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation. Authorities said Ator 'was on a long spiral of going down' and had been fired from his oil services job the morning of the shooting, and that he called 911 both before and after the rampage began. Ator had previously failed a federal background check for a firearm, said John Wester, an agent with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Wester did not say when Ator failed the background check or why.

A Cincinnati-area high school football game came to an early end on Saturday when one player protested the officiating by head-butting a referee. After a penalty was called during the second quarter of Roger Bacon High School's game against visiting Dayton Dunbar High, a Dunbar defender approached an official before slamming his head into the referee's face, sending the older man stumbling backwards. The player, who has not been identified, then removed his helmet and pursued another official as teammates and coaches herded him off the field. The school is already on probation with the Ohio High School Athletic Association through 2022 for a 2016 incident when a player allegedly tried to lose a game intentionally. The school district and the OHSAA are investigating the incident.
