Georgia: A DeKalb County police officer was injured in a car crash Tuesday, according to the police department.

The department said the officer was involved in a two-car crash at the intersection of Lawrenceville Highway and Fellowship Road around 1:45 p.m.

Both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper is hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash northeast of Liberty Tuesday morning.

The Major Crash Unit of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Investigators said the trooper’s patrol car and a tractor-trailer collided on Route 210 Highway near Missouri City.

The trooper was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The highway patrol said the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.

Virginia: An officer suffered a minor injury Tuesday morning while trying to detain an unruly passenger at Richmond International Airport.

According to airport officials, Richmond International Airport Police responded to Gate B3 at 9:37 a.m. for a “disturbance” involving two passengers.

“The officers found an adult male passenger being restrained by others following an alleged assault that occurred as the flight was deplaning,” airport officials said. “The individual, who appeared to be intoxicated, continued to resist officers after being placed in handcuffs.”

One of the officers sustained a minor injury while trying to restrain the suspect.
