When staff members arrived at their Armed Services YMCA food pantry distribution location near Fort Hood, Texas, at 5 a.m. Thursday, they found a line of military families stretched around the side of the building.

“That’s not happened ever. We had a 34% increase this week over past weeks,” said Dorene Ocamb, ASYMCA chief brand and development officer. The doors at the organization’s Harker Heights location opened at 6:30 a.m. to distribute free food, but there were so many people, some had to wait in line outside for safety reasons, she said.

“We expected an increase, but didn’t quite expect this,” Ocamb said.

Agents and police with the FBI, HSI, LAPD and Torrance PD, including multiple S.W.A.T. Teams, were up early today serving dozens of arrest and search warrants for members and associates of the violent Rancho San Pedro (RSP) street gang who were charged either federally or by the state of California with RICO and other violations involving narcotics and firearms.  RSP is known to be responsible for various criminal activities and acts of violence in and around the Los Angeles Harbor area.

Colorado: An Englewood police officer opened fire on a man who attempted to stab an employee but stabbed another officer at a Denny’s just past midnight early Monday morning.

On October 6, 2025, at about 12:35 am, Englewood Police Officers were dispatched to Denny’s at 275 W. Hampden Avenue, on a report of a subject who had pulled a knife on an employee and tried to stab the employee. The suspect was last reported to be alone in the bathroom of the diner.

When Officers arrived, they entered Denny’s and began talking with an employee near the front door. Shortly after officers contacted the suspect, he pulled out a knife and charged at the officers on scene, ultimately stabbing one officer in the shoulder area. Another Officer shot the suspect and officers were able to disarm the suspect. Officers immediately rendered aid to the suspect and called for medical assistance. The Officer was later treated and released from an area hospital.

DEVELOPING: The highest-ranking female law enforcement officer in Seal Beach is suing the city, alleging that a toxic culture has taken root in the Police Department where she’s been subjected to blatant sexism and harassment for years.

Lt. Julia Clasby, who also serves as the department’s public information officer, alleges in the lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court last week that she was passed up for promotions, disparaged for being a mother and denied training opportunities that were routinely provided to her male colleagues.
