We will Never Forget fallen Chicago Police Officer James Crowley. He was catastrophically injured when a drunk driver struck his patrol car on September 4, 1987. He died last year from the injuries he sustained. Today marks one year that we laid him to rest.

The radicals in Sacramento are at it again. This time with AB 1231.
So, letโs talk about this bill.
-First itโs titled โThe Safer Communities Through Opportunities Act.โ Who would be against that? Nobody. But, anytime the radicals in CA place โSaferโ in their bill or proposition, it is rarely โSafer.โ It is meant to trick you. It is meant to illicit empathy.
-Second, who is against thoughtful diversion programs and rehabilitation? Nobody. But here are some of the crimes included in this bill:
Felony Child Abuse
Felony Corporal Injury to Child
Felony Assault Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury
Felony False Imprisonment
Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
Felony Purchasing sex from a minor who is 16 or 17-yrs-old
Felony Second degree burglary
Felony Looting
Felony Maintaining a drug house
Felony Poss of Meth, PCP or Fentanyl for sale
(These โnon-violentโ crimes are just some of the crimes included in this bill).
And, what does this bill do? It allows a judge to give someone charged with the above crimes-release from custody, diversion program, no punishment, charge fully dismissed after diversion program completed, no probation, the likelihood of no victim restitution, and the likelihood of no victim protective order. How is that โsafer?โ
Just like the disasters we have seen with โmental health diversion,โ this bill risks public safety, weakens victim protections, and endangers our families, children and communities.
The Sacramento radicals are so pro-criminal, so anti-punishment, that they are willing to endanger all of us by trying to say this bill is safer for communities and gives people opportunities. Itโs dangerous. And it actually gives people โopportunitiesโ to reoffend and hurt another victim.
Tell your assembly person and state senator to vote โNOโ on this bill and tell Newsom to veto this bill if passed by the radicals.
Criminals should not get priority over victims, children, families and the safety of all of us.
Jonathan Hatami

San Francisco: In Gavin Newsomโs CA here is a free needle, foil and crackpipe giveaway to โjunkiesโ IN FRONT OF A SCHOOL DURING SCHOOL HOURS, funded by taxpayers.
Theyโll give you a kit to cook and smoke your drugs, but they refuse to carry flyers to get you addiction help if you need it. What does that tell you about an organization that will deliver you tin foil to cook up fentanyl but clams up when you ask for real help?
