JUST IN: A pilot died Thursday morning after a small plane crashed in the Grass Valley area, California.

The Grass Valley Police Department said first responders are along Whispering Pines Lane near Cambridge Court, where the plane went down.

Today, we pause to remember the 14 CAL FIRE personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty within the month of May throughout our history. New Jersey: A Trenton Police officer sustained minor injuries after a SUV collided with a police cruiser at the intersection of West State Street and Parkside Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

According to bystanders, the officer was responding to a call with emergency lights activated but no sirens when the SUV driven by an elderly couple, struck the cruiser in the intersection. The couple did not require ambulance transport from the scene.
