Russian coal billionaireโ€™s $500 million super yacht which is 468 ft long and comes with its own swimming pool and helicopter pad dwarfs the competition in sunny Monaco harbour. Modestly named 'Sailing Yacht A' the super duper yacht dwarfed all competition in the bay, belittling the boats of the mere millionaires surrounding it. It is owned by Russian billionaire industrialist Andrey Melnichenko, 47, who made his $15bn fortune manufacturing and trading in fertiliser and coal. The magnificent vessel spans 468ft in length and has three masts taller than London's Elizabeth Tower, which houses Big Ben, at 328ft. ๐Ÿšข much #WOW
Scientists say a massive freshwater aquifer discovered off the coast of the US could help mitigate water crises in North America and abroad. In a study spearheaded by scientists at Columbia University, the researchers say the gargantuan subterranean aquifer spans at least from New Jersey to Massachusetts and sprawls outward into the ocean, reaching the edge of the continental shelf. Scientists say if the water contained in the aquifer were a surface-level lake, it would cover about 15,000 square miles. ๐Ÿ’ง #science

The Sacramento Police Department has released a segment of body worn camera which shows officers being attacked by a gunman when they responded to a call from the home where their trainee was shot dead on Wednesday. Police believe 45-year-old Adel Sambrano Ramos was watching them from security cameras around the property where two assault rifles, one shotgun and one handgun were strategically placed and his front door was barricaded. Video shows an officer who was nearby Tara O'Sullivan, 26, when she was killed, call: 'Police Department. If you're in here let me know. You're not in trouble, dude.' But then the father-of-two - and a grandfather with a long history of violence against women - begins incessantly firing in what cops say was an ambush that strung out for four hours. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ #shooting

Seven motorcyclists are left dead and three injured in a 'devastating crash' after a Dodge pickup truck plows into their procession along a rural stretch of highway in New Hampshire ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
Seven motorcyclists are dead and three more are injured following a devastating crash on a New Hampshire highway that left bodies strewn across the tarmac. The tragic incident occurred on Route 2 near the town of Randolph shortly before 6.30pm Friday after a Dodge pick-up truck plowed into the procession of bikes. Witnesses described a 'devastating' scene as bystanders tried to help riders that were peppered along the highway as emergency services rushed to help. Along with the seven dead, state police said two additional people were transported to the Androscoggin Valley Hospital and one was airlifted to Maine Medical.
US Cyber Command 'launched a retaliatory digital strike against an Iranian spy group' that supported last weekโ€™s limpet mine attacks on commercial ships the same day Trump called off airstrikes.
Protesters in Hong Kong have ended their overnight siege of police headquarters peacefully. By daybreak, police had cleared the streets of barriers set up by protesters to snarl traffic in the Asian financial centre, and only a few groups in the mostly youthful crowd remained. Many slept outside the legislature. Traffic was again smooth on a major thoroughfare through the government's central complex as the protest movement regrouped to consider next moves. Police said nine female and four male staffers were taken to hospital 'with considerable delay' during the blockade. #retract

A man has been charged after he allegedly punched a NSW police officer in the face and kicked an unmarked police car. Two detectives were travelling in the vehicle when the 40-year-old man allegedly assaulted the driver through an open window at a traffic light in Newcastle's CBD. Police said the officers were preventing the man, who had 'unleashed a violent outburst' towards the occupants of a nearby car on Beaumont Street on Friday morning. The officers blew their siren to get his attention. 'In a response, the male directed his violent behaviour toward the detectives with an unprovoked attack, kicking the police vehicle and punching the driver through an open window,' police said. The incident was captured on dashcam. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
