Hong Kong police rejected accusations of excessive use of force during clashes in Wednesday's protests against a controversial extradition bill with China. In addition to water cannons, pepper spray and tear gas, riot police fired rubber bullets and beanbag rounds at unarmed protesters in the worst unrest the city has witnessed in decades. The violence left 81 people injured, the hospital authority said. Bodycamera footage released by Appleton police in Wisconsin show the moments leading up to a fatal shooting of a firefighter in May. The Outagamie County District Attorney said two Appleton police officers were justified in their shooting of Ruben Houston last month. The shooting also left a firefighter dead, a police officer injured, and an innocent bystander with gunshot wounds. Baltimore police have presented body camera footage that they say shows a veteran officer who has been suspended for misconduct chasing down and arresting a pedestrian who criticized his behavior. Sgt. Ethan Newberg and a colleague have been suspended after investigators say body camera video disproved the 24-year veteran's account of an arrest last month. Newberg said the man was 'combative and aggressive.' In video shown to reporters Friday, a passerby crosses a rain-slicked street where officers are conducting a stop.
