A machete attacker was pinned to the ground by police after slashing a McDonald's diner's face in a horrifying attack in Sheffield this morning. Dramatic photographs show police restraining the attacker who is handcuffed and lying on his front following the attack, which left witnesses 'running for their lives'. The victim of the attack is also pictured with a grisly wound on the left side of his face with blood seeping through thick bandages and on to his navy blue sweater. CCTV footage captures three men using an amplifier or 'relay device' to trick the keyless security system of a $90,000 Range Rover Sport into unlocking in the early hours of Tuesday morning. One man is seen holding the device, which can be bought online for around $100, while his accomplices wait further back. It takes them just 40 seconds to unlock the car and drive away from the property in Harborne, Birmingham. Police are now investigating the theft but no arrests have been made.
As temperatures plunged as low as -42F in Park Rapids, Minnesota and -31F in Fargo, North Dakota, sun dogs were spotted throughout the upper Midwest on Tuesday and Wednesday.
