In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day. In observance of #peaceofficersmemorialday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department honor all peace officers across the United States who made the ultimate sacrifice and laid down their lives while serving and protecting their communities.
