BREAKING! The General of the DC National Guard got immediate approval to deploy National Guard from the Sec of Army and the Sec of Defense during the protests in June.

On January 6th he did not.
A first-ever “space hurricane” was spotted whirling above the Earth, scientists said. The 600-mile-wide mass of plasma occurred several hundreds of miles above the North Pole, according to a study in the journal Nature Communications. “Until now, it was uncertain that space plasma hurricanes even existed, so to prove this with such a striking observation is incredible,” said Mike Lockwood, a space scientist at the University of Reading and co-author of the study, in a statement. The spectacle was captured by satellites in August 2014, but only recently uncovered during research led by scientists from Shandong University in China. The space hurricane “rained” electrons instead of water, had multiple spiral arms and lasted eight hours before gradually fizzing, researchers said. “Tropical storms are associated with huge amounts of energy, and these space hurricanes must be created by unusually large and rapid transfer of solar wind energy and charged particles into the Earth’s upper atmosphere,” Lockwood said.
BREAKING! After a months-long operation, the United States Marshals Service, Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation recovered 150 missing children across the state. During a press conference Wednesday morning, authorities involved revealed the results of "Operation Volunteer Strong". According to Shelly Smitherman, Assistant Special Agent in Charge at TBI, the operation started in fall 2020 and TBI Intelligence Analysts were able to compile files for 240 missing children across the state. The operation efforts started on January 4. 150 of the 240 missing children recovered range in age from 3 to 17-years-old, Smitherman said. A press release states that in East Tennessee, authorities identified 86 missing children. 56 were recovered and five of them are in other states. Authorities located 27 of them in the weeks leading up to the operation and three after the conclusion. (Read more.)
Rep. Jim Jordan: "If the government bans so-called 'assault weapons', mass public shootings will still occur, and the same politicians will then try to ban shotguns and handguns."

Atlanta PD: On 2-21-2021, at around 2:00 AM, the Atlanta Police Department’s air unit was conducting surveillance on a number of vehicles believed to be involved in street racing activity. During the night, the motorists separated into two groups and one of the groups drove to the Kroger shopping center parking lot at 1715 Howell Mill Road. Some of the vehicles drove around the parking lot while others parked. One vehicle, a red Dodge Charger, began driving in a reckless manner, laying drags several times. Attached is video footage from APD’s air unit showing the activity inside the Kroger parking lot. This is a small glimpse of some of the activity our officers have to deal with, in addition to responding to emergency calls for help from our communities. While most of these car enthusiasts appear to be driving safely, we are well aware how quickly these situation can turn dangerous. Once one driver begins acting foolishly, trying to show off their vehicle, others soon follow.
Thirteen people killed in one of the deadliest border crashes on record were among more than 40 migrants who entered the U.S. through a hole cut into Southern California’s border fence with Mexico, the Border Patrol said Wednesday.

Surveillance video showed a Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Suburban drive through the opening early Tuesday, Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol’s El Centro sector chief, told The Associated Press. It is believed they were part of a migrant smuggling operation.

The Suburban carried 19 people, and it caught fire for unknown reasons on a nearby interstate after entering the U.S. All escaped the vehicle and were taken into custody by Border Patrol agents.

The Expedition crammed with 25 people continued on, and a tractor-trailer struck it a short time later. Ten of the 13 killed have been identified as Mexican citizens. The rest of those in the SUV and the truck driver survived.

The Border Patrol said its agents were not pursuing the vehicle before the crash. The opening in the fence was about 30 miles east of the crash in the heart of California’s Imperial Valley, a major farming region.

It was made of steel bollards that were built before former President Donald Trump blanketed much of the border with taller barriers that go deeper into the ground.
