The Los Angeles City Council Tuesday voted to show its support for any legislation that expedites the process for immigrants working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic to obtain U.S. citizenship.

The resolution was introduced by Council President Nury Martinez, and said in part, "the city of Los Angeles should request the U.S. Congress and the President to establish a fast-track process that would grant citizenship expeditiously to immigrant frontline workers who have proven their courage, commitment and dedication to saving lives.

She noted that the French Interior Ministry established a fast-track citizenship process for immigrant frontline workers in France, and it has approved over 700 citizenship applications.

"Many frontline workers do not have the luxury of working from home, they receive lower wages on average and come disproportionately from socio-economically disadvantaged groups," the resolution said.

"Immigrant frontline workers amidst this pandemic, who continuously expose themselves and their families to the deadly pandemic, deserve the right to apply and be granted U.S. citizenship for their courage and dedication to preserving life," it added.

The resolution must next be approved by Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Here's the full CNBC report from former Fox News host Shep Smith and former CBS/MSNBC/NBC correspondent and host Contessa Brewer about the greatness of not just double-masking, but triple-masking.

Like I said, triple masks are great, but the only way to really stop the spread is to encase your face in cement.

Tucker Carlson Tonight: Let's begin with a basic point: The United States government should never, under any circumstances, favor one race of people over any other race of people. That is immoral. We are all citizens. We are all human beings. We are all created by God. We are all equal. Every one of us has a right to equal treatment by our government. That right is guaranteed by our Constitution. Never in American history has there been press censorship on this scale. Fox News is the last significant media organization remaining in this country that allows its employees to tell obvious truths in public. The rest of them have been muzzled or shut down completely. The last to go was the social media site Parler, which was created as a free speech alternative to the Silicon Valley monopolies like Twitter and Facebook.

Sen. John Kennedy on the continued presence of soldiers at the Capitol:

“I'm a pretty simple guy, Tucker. I like breakfast food and straight answers.”

We really needed the troops last year with all the so called peaceful protesting that was going on that caused billions of dollars in damages.

Mayor, LAPD Chief Address Rise in Murders, Police Reform. Mayor Eric Garcetti and Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore spoke Monday about an increase in homicides and shootings in Los Angeles in 2020, as well as reforms the police department has implemented and ways the city is working to address crime in the new year. While overall crime decreased by 9% -- including property crime by 11.1%, violent crime by 3% and robberies by 17% -- homicides increased by 36.2% and victims shot by 41.4%, Garcetti said. Gutfeld on the left using cancel culture to silence opposition. What do some people do when they gain power over you? If it’s the party of the new McCarthyism, they shut you up. That's why leftists try to ban books, muzzle conservatives and protest the inclusion of non-liberal voices. They silence businesses, drop entire media platforms, trash careers and toss folks off social networks. The Dems crow "oh, oh, oh, oh, these are private companies." Well, so are health care ompanies. If I were banned from hospitals, I guess I could freelance prostate exams. The claim that private companies can do whatever they want is based on the idea that they’re private. But sorry, no, you can't build a Twitter in your backyard. Instead, it’s really about a new fascist mob out to silence all dissent, using the "private business" as another excuse. And it’s genius. The First Amendment can't protect you when tech is in business with Uncle Sam. And that's the system the left now embraces because they can use it against you.
Meanwhile, in Portland -- “Why are you even here?” -- “Because people wanna know what you guys are doing”
