The footage obtained by Storyful from Wednesday’s siege shows droves of violent demonstrators storming past a barricade as US Capitol Police desperately try to keep them corralled on the west side of the building at about 2:30 p.m. Moments later, a protester tosses the fire extinguisher toward a group of officers below, striking one on the helmet. It’s unclear if the cop who was plunked was Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, 42. An admitted Antifa member and independent journalist was arrested over the stabbing of two Trump supporters outside the state Capitol in Albany, N.Y. on Wednesday. One of the victims had an eviscerated bowel and required emergency surgery.

Alexander Stokes Contompasis, 37, of Rensselaer, N.Y., has been charged with felony first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing over the stabbings of two men that occurred during a brawl in East Capitol Park between Antifa and pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” protesters.

The right-wing crowd consisted of around 35 Trump supporters and at least three individuals whom police say are associated with the Proud Boys group. SPOKANE, Wash. — A North Idaho internet provider, Your T1 WIFI, confirmed it is blocking Facebook and Twitter from its WIFI service for some customers due to censorship claims. The move comes after Twitter and Facebook banned President Trump from their platforms. Your T1 WIFI claims they blocked the social media sites due to censorship, but the sites' actions don't violate First Amendment rights. Because Twitter and Facebook are private companies, their bans on the president do not violate the First Amendment, which protects speech from being limited by the government. The internet provider said it had received several calls from customers about both websites. "It has come to our attention that Twitter and Facebook are engaged in censorship of our customers and information," an email to customers reads. The service provider said the change would go into effect on Wednesday, Jan. 13. (Read more.)
