A police dog took a bite out of crime -- literally -- on Xmas Eve. The incident went down Thursday afternoon in Ontario, CA, just outside L.A. Cops spotted a stolen car on the 15 freeway and tried stopping the driver, to no avail. The car eventually stopped on the freeway and cops tried negotiating with the suspect for at least 10 minutes ... before unleashing the #K9. You see the dog leap through the driver's side window and latch on to the suspect's arm. The suspect tried fighting off the dog, but the dog had other ideas. A bunch of officers came in for the assist and took the suspect into custody. Traffic was backed up for miles on Xmas Eve as a result.

TREBASELEGHE, ITALY – A father’s two teenage children were reportedly visiting him for the holiday season when he allegedly murdered the two of them by slicing their throats and then killing himself.

The disturbing murders took place in the town of Trebaseleghe, which resides in the Italian province of Padua. The victims, identified as 15-year-old Francesca Calzarotto and 13-year-old Pietro Calzarotto, were sent to stay with their father, 49-year-old Alessandro Pontin, for the holidays.

Pontin was reportedly separated from the children’s mother, and there was some degree of underlying strife between the two regarding child support payments. Pontin was apparently having a difficult time finding work as a carpenter and was trying to find other means to make a decent income.

When the murders occurred, the two teenage victims were reportedly sleeping in their beds. Evidence from the crime scene suggests that the two had awoken during the attack, as there were signs of blood strewn across the floor that was trampled upon.

After the two children were slain, Pontin was said to have taken the weapon used to slice the children’s throats to himself and committed suicide. (Read more.)
