Oh, so an LA civilian review board with people who have no idea what it's like to be attacked know best? What a joke.

LOS ANGELES, CA – A police officer was involved in a fatal shooting with a suspect in April. The civilian Los Angeles Police Commission has determined that the initial four shots that the officer fired were within policy, while the final two shots were not.

Los Angeles Police Officer Toni McBride responded to a vehicle crash on April 22, in which Daniel Hernandez was involved. Video showed that Hernandez was armed with a box cutter and McBride repeatedly ordered him to drop it. (Video Officer-Involved Shooting in Newton Division NRF014-20cr bellow)

Instead of dropping the box cutter, as ordered to several times, he chose to approach the officer, placing her in fear that she was about to be seriously injured or killed.

McBride testified she was concerned that Hernandez would harm nearby citizens in the area. As a result, McBride opened fire, striking Hernandez.

Video shows that Hernandez fell to the ground after the first two shots, but was able to stand up and move forward again. McBride fired another four rounds towards Hernandez, with the final two shots as he laid on the ground.

After reviewing the video and hearing testimony, the Board concluded that McBride was justified in her actions for the first four shots, which were fired as Hernandez was actively trying to get to her.

However, in a 4-1 vote, they decided that the final two shots were done after Hernandez was no longer a threat. They did not take into account that the final two shots were fired mere seconds after the first four.

The decision was made after hearing testimony from Hernandez’s mother, siblings, and daughter. They all decried the shooting and felt that none of the shots fired were justified. They wanted McBride to be arrested and charged with murder.

Now that the board has ruled that two of the rounds fired by McBride were not justified and against policy, any discipline will fall to the chief of police. Los Angeles Police Chief Michael Moore, who argued that all six shots were justified, said that he will need time to determine what, if any discipline should occur.

The shooting gained widespread attention because McBride is known on social media as a sharp shooter and some people feel that prior to the shooting, she was glorifying police violence. They believe that since she is a sharpshooter, she should have shot Hernandez in the leg instead of center mass, where she is trained.

Those who are not in the military or in police work errantly believe that it is possible, in the heat of the moment, for an officer to accurately fire and shoot someone in the limb. However, an accurate shot such as that is next to near impossible when faced with a deadly threat.

Military and police officers are trained not to kill, but rather to fire until the threat has stopped. Unfortunately, that means to fire in the center mass of the attacker, where it is more likely, under threat, that the round fired will strike its intended target and not an innocent bystander.

A #pursuit driver was in custody following a chase across the Los Angeles area Thursday night. At least three police vehicles with lights flashing were following closely behind the pursuit driver. The car was making quick pace, appearing to speed as it weaved through sparse traffic on the southbound 405. In the area of Ainsworth Street and Laconia Boulevard, a group of about six pedestrians ran into the street toward the pursuit vehicle, causing the driver to stop. Multiple vehicles were also parked in the center turn lane in the area. The pursuit driver exited his vehicle with his hands up and lay prone on the ground. Authorities could not immediately confirm what the driver was originally wanted on suspicion of, and no further details were available.
Little kids and babies are being shot and killed. Democrats blame guns and are ignoring the criminals pulling the triggers.

WASHINGTON, DC – Another innocent child caught in the crossfire.

A 9-year-old girl on an evening walk with a family member in Southeast D.C. was shot and wounded Dec. 14, police said.

During a press conference after the shooting, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said the little girl was walking with her family in the street when shots were fired nearby.

“It’s just horrible to think that a 9-year-old — out here with her family member — getting struck by a stray bullet. Hopefully she’ll make a full recovery. There are no words for the sense of loss that our city will feel when they hear of this heartbreaking tragedy.

“We cannot tolerate senseless gun violence, and we must continue to come together to have the tough conversation about what we must do to eradicate it.”

The girl was shot near the intersection of 18th and T streets Southeast while she was walking with a family member. She has been taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

According to police, the little girl is conscious and breathing and is being treated at an area hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries.

Multiple children have recently been the victims of gun violence in the Washington, D.C., metro area. (Read more.)

PORTLAND, OR – On one hand, Portland residents are getting what they asked for, or voted for, in ultra-liberal politicians and handcuffed police officers. On the other hand, one can’t help but feel bad for residents who don’t agree with the Black Lives Matter and Antifa narratives, and just want to run their businesses and live their lives. The owner of a restaurant on Sandy Boulevard who has been publicly critical of Antifa’s mass vandalism had his business burned down shortly after making the comments. Now investigators are saying the fire was an arson attack. Portland Fire and Rescue officials are looking to question a person seen in surveillance footage apparently setting fire to a local restaurant. (Read more.)

Hey Joe Biden - can you do us a favor? Let this arsonist know that Antifa is just an "idea"? Make sure to also tell the business owner who just lost his restaurant.
