An explosion hit a Polish supermarket in the Beverhof shopping centre in Beverwijk, on early Wednesday morning. This is the third blast to strike a Polish store in two days, in the Netherlands. The explosion happened at around 05:15 (04:15 GMT) and severely damaged the facade of the supermarket, with no reported injuries or casualties according to local authorities. Police and firefighters were seen investigating the cordoned off site, where debris were scattered around. This was the third explosion that happened in two days, as two other Polish shops were damaged in the night from Monday to Tuesday in Heeswijk-Dinther and Aalsmeer. The latter is reported to belong to the same owner as that of Beverhof's. Authorities are yet to clarify the cause of the explosions.
Australia -- Defence has grounded 35 Australian warplanes after two crew members were forced to eject from a $75 million jet fighter during an aborted take-off at an air base in Queensland. Investigators are heading to RAAF Base Amberley outside Brisbane to figure out what led to the incident, which has caused damage to the F/A-18F Super Hornet. Defence Minister Linda Reynolds confirmed the two pilots were safe, but said the entire RAAF fleet of Super Hornet and Growler jet fighters was being grounded out of an "abundance of caution". The Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Mel Hupfeld, would not put a timeframe on the investigation, or how long the jet fighters would be out of action.

SYDNEY - Australian police arrested on Wednesday an 18-year man who had allegedly expressed interest in committing a mass causality attack, motivated by right-wing ideology. Police said they expect to lay charges on Wednesday against the unidentified man from Albury, a small town 344 miles southwest of Sydney. “The male we’ve arrested has an extremely right-wing ideology and is focused on neo-Nazi, white supremacist and anti-Semitic material,” Australian Federal Police Assistant Commission Scott Lee told reporters in Sydney. Australia, a staunch U.S. ally, has been on heightened alert against the threat of home-grown radicals after several “lone wolf” attacks in recent years. A white supremacist gunman from Australia killed 51 Muslim worshippers in New Zealand last year. Australian intelligence agencies have regularly warned of an increased threat by right-wing aligned individuals since then.

As many as 5,000 of President Donald Trump’s supporters are expected to descend on the nation’s capital Saturday – just days before Electoral College votes are cast – to protest voter fraud in the Nov. 3 presidential election. Electors from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., meet in their respective state capitals Monday to formally cast votes for president based on the popular votes in each state. The demonstration is a way for Trump supporters to express their disillusionment and anger over the election. The permit application estimates upward of 5,000 people will gather on Dec. 11 and 12 in support of Trump, a considerably smaller figure than the tens of thousands who turned out in November.
