The bodies of hundreds of people who died in New York City during the Covid-19 surge in the spring are still in storage in freezer trucks on the Brooklyn waterfront. Many of the bodies are of people whose families can’t be located or can’t afford a proper burial, according to the city’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner. About 650 bodies are being stored in the trucks at a disaster morgue that was set up in April on the 39th Street Pier in Sunset Park. Before the pandemic, most if not all of the deceased would have been buried within a few weeks in a gravesite for the indigent on Hart Island, which is located in the Long Island Sound near the Bronx. Dina Maniotis, the executive deputy commissioner for the OCME who oversaw the unit’s pandemic response, told the Wall Street Journal that the city was slowly disposing of the remains. (Read more.)

BREAKING! 15 year old Hispanic male arrested for the Mayfair Mall shooting. Officials made the announcement Sunday, Nov. 22 during a press conference. The weapon used has also been recovered. According to Wauwatosa PD it was not a random act of violence was an altercation between two groups. Police say the suspect ran out with other people who were exiting the mall. Police believe this is not a random act and that there is no danger to the community. The name of the suspect has not been released by police. Mayfair Mall was opened to the public Sunday.

In an effort to stem the rising number of homicides, the department urged the public to report any useful information to Crimestoppers, a safe and anonymous way to report a crime. "A number we have not seen in over a decade -- 300 homicides in a year. Senseless violence and tragic loss of life,'' the LAPD spokeman said. The last time homicides topped 300 in the city was in 2009. The number of criminals is expected to increase after the reduction of some units of the LAPD

UK, West Midlands PD: Man jailed for dangerous driving on M6. This is the moment a dangerous driver ploughed into a taxi driver on the hard shoulder of the M6, before fleeing the scene and checking into a hotel for the night. Ben Cooke is seen undertaking cars in his BMW 118 as he made his way at speed up the motorway between junctions 4a and 5. Seconds before the crash, the victim had pulled onto the hard shoulder and activated his hazard lights. As he got out of the car, Cooke ploughed into the Ford Focus, leaving the driver helplessly lying in lane one of the busy motorway as cars swerved to avoid him. He was arrested the next day and made no comment in interview, but went on to admit causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
