FBI, DOJ agree Hunter Biden emails were not Russia disinformation. The FBI’s subpoena of a laptop and hard drive purportedly belonging to Hunter Biden came in connection with a money laundering investigation in late 2019, according to documents obtained by Fox News and verified by multiple federal law enforcement officials who reviewed them. It is unclear, at this point, whether the investigation is ongoing or if it was directly related to Hunter Biden. Multiple federal law enforcement officials, as well as two separate government officials, confirmed the authenticity of these documents, which were signed by FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson. Wilson did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment. One of the documents, obtained by Fox News, was designated as an FBI “Receipt for Property” form, which details the bureau’s interactions with John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of “The Mac Shop” who reported the laptop’s contents to authorities. LOS ANGELES - For the first time in more than a decade, homicides in the city of Los Angeles could reach a grim milestone of more than 300 by the year’s end. Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michael Moore made the prediction during a virtual Police Commission meeting. “We see the phenomenon of more guns, more people carrying guns, and then disputes escalating into gun violence.” According to data from the #LAPD, there have been 266 homicides in the city so far in 2020, compared with a total of 253 in 2019 and 260 in 2018. The last time the number topped 300 was in 2009, when there were 312 homicides in LA. Some activists like Black Lives Matter LA Co-founder Melina Abdullah, (fucking idiot,) believe that the numbers would greatly decrease if funds were directed away from police, and that the uptick in violence make their call to defund all the more compelling. The increase in violence comes as budget cuts have reduced the number of sworn officers in the department, which retired LAPD detective Moses Castillo believes discourages officers. “It sends the message to the rank and file - to the men and women who put on that uniform every day and risk their lives every day to serve the public - that we just don’t care about you, and we’re going to give into these groups that hate the police,” he said, adding that some have lost motivation.

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported at 2:19 a.m. Thursday, 32 miles from Barstow, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred 44 miles from Twentynine Palms, 46 miles from Big Bear City, 46 miles from Yucca Valley and 49 miles from Apple Valley. In the past 10 days, there have been three earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. An average of 234 earthquakes with magnitudes between 3.0 and 4.0 occur per year in California and Nevada, according to a recent three-year data sample. BREAKING! A 418-page deposition in which Ghislaine Maxwell is interrogated about her sex life has been made public today. The bombshell document was released Thursday morning after Maxwell's attorneys fought tooth and nail to keep it private. Her legal team had claimed the deposition attempts to 'compel Ms Maxwell to answer intrusive questions about her sex life', describing the manner of questioning as 'extremely personal, confidential and subject to considerable abuse by the media'. The deposition is part of thousands of files that are gradually being made public as part of a defamation case brought against Maxwell by Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre, which is separate from Maxwell's criminal charges. Maxwell, 58, is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges that she lured girls as young as 14 years old Epstein for him to abuse between 1994 and 1997.

NASA has released the first pictures from the asteroid Bennu. The pictures were taken on Tuesday during the OSIRIS-REx mission's Touch-And-Go sample collection event. The spacecraft touched down on the asteroid surface at sample site Nightingale for approximately six seconds.

Last week a Jeep Wrangler that went over the edge of Black Bear Pass in Telluride, Colorado. Dashcam footage from driver who was lower on Black Bear Pass shows the crash as it happened. The video does a good job of capturing just how treacherous Black Bear Pass is. At the time the footage was captured, nobody was present in the vehicle, thankfully, which most likely saved both their lives. The driver who published the video page narrowly escapes being caught up in the carnage as well.

MINNEAPOLIS — A Hennepin County judge on Thursday dismissed a third-degree murder charge against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin is still charged with second-degree manslaughter and second-degree unintentional murder while committing a felony in the Memorial Day killing of George Floyd. Floyd died May 25 after Chauvin pressed his knee against Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes. The death of Floyd, who said he couldn’t breathe while he was down on the ground, was captured in widely seen bystander video that set off protests around the world. Three other officers, Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane, are facing charges of aiding and abetting unintentional second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

Iran and Russia have obtained voter registration information with the goal of interfering in the presidential election, U.S. officials said at an impromptu news conference Tuesday night. John Ratcliffe, the intelligence director, and FBI Director Chris Wray said the U.S. will impose costs on any foreign countries interfering in the 2020 U.S. election. Even with the recent discovery of Iran’s and Russia’s actions, officials assured citizens that their votes will count and the election’s integrity is still in tact. “These actions are desperate attempts by desperate adversaries," Ractliffe said. This news conference comes as Democratic voters in at least four battleground states, including Florida and Pennsylvania, have received threatening emails, falsely purporting to be from the far-right group Proud Boys. The emails warned “we will come after you” if the recipients didn't vote for President Donald Trump.

The Davis Police Department released video of one of its officers pulling a driver trapped inside her overturned burning vehicle moments before flames engulfed the car. The rescue from the fiery crash occurred Saturday night along Interstate 80 near Kidwell Road, a few miles west of Davis. Amazing job by Officer Ly of the city of Davis pd "'I could feel the heat of the fire on the right side of my face,' Officer Ly said. He dragged the driver, by the wrists, to safety, unsure if the car might blow up."

A parent’s worst nightmare is when something terribly wrong is happening to your baby. Today #LASD Norwalk Sheriff's Station Deputies responded to a Whittier home regarding a 911 call for a 4 month old baby girl, who was not breathing. Deputies arrived to the home in seconds and immediately performed CPR on the unresponsive baby. They were able to successfully get the baby girl to take several small breathes on her own. Within minutes deputies escorted the baby to a local hospital via ambulance. We are happy to share that baby Alaiah is in stable condition at the hospital and being taken care of by her mom. A very proud Grandfather shared a video of the incident with us.

Philadelphia Police. On September 1, 2020 at approximately 1:00 PM, the victim, a 42 year-old male, was followed by the suspect for several blocks before he was shot while on the 1400 block of Fitzwater Street. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the left thigh and was transported to Jefferson by Medic where he was listed in stable condition.
