LAS VEGAS  — Two brothers are accused of transporting 100 pounds of methamphetamine from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to sell, federal authorities announced Monday. Huy Ngoc “Tony” Tran, 37, and Sinh Van “Paul” Tran, 34, of Riverside, California, appeared in court Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, officials said. Undercover agents arrested the brothers in a parking garage at the Red Rock Resort on Wednesday, Oct. 14, court documents stated. The brothers were attempting to sell the methamphetamine, an AR-15 and a shotgun for $300,000, agents reported. If convicted, the brothers face a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $10 million fine.

Philadelphia Police: On Saturday October 17, 2020 at 4:10PM, two unknown males entered the Metro PCS store located at 7147 Oqontz Avenue initially inquiring about a cell phone. Offender #1 then stated to the employee, "I'm going to make this short and simple, give me the money." The employee placed the cash drawer on the counter at which time the offender took approximately $167. Both males fled the store on foot in an unknown direction. The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on September 26, 2020 in Southwest Philadelphia. It happened shortly after 4:30 PM near the intersection of 68th Street and Dicks Avenue. The victim, a 29 year-old female, was shot in her car by an unknown black male. Surveillance cameras in the area captured the offender, his accomplice, an unknown black female and the vehicle they were operating. Suspect Description: Black male, thin build, short hair, long beard with a possible white streak in the middle, wearing black pants, black hooded sweatshirt, black shoes and white socks.

Vehicle Description: 2010-2012 black Ford Taurus SHO with a sticker in the bottom front passenger side of the windshield, an EZ-Pass transponder in the center of the windshield and the underside of the front passenger bumper has damage.
