MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. - A 10-year-old Florida girl was beginning her first day of online school when her mother was shot to death by her ex-boyfriend at their home. Donald Williams, 27, shot and killed 32-year-old Maribel Rosado Morales in front of her four children and their two cousins at her Indiantown home, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told reporters at a press conference. The shooting unfolded during an argument after Williams entered the home around 8 a.m. and confronted Rosado Morales about an online video, Snyder said. Williams shot her multiple times and fled the home. The 10-year-old girl's teacher at Warfield Elementary School witnessed the incident while setting up the class ZOOM call, Snyder said. No children were injured during the shooting. Williams fled the scene on a bicycle before boarding a bus. The bus driver was suspicious and called 911, WPTV reported. A SWAT team in the area responded and took Williams into custody.

ATLANTA - A metro Atlanta drug bust has ended with the seizure of what authorities say was a "massive" quantity of heroin and other drugs. Officials tell FOX 35 the investigation began in October of 2019 when federal agents uncovered ledgers from a Mexico-based drug trafficking organization connected to 46-year-old Atlanta resident Antonio DaShawn Daniels, also known as "Freckleface Shawn." The ledgers said that from August 2018 and October 2019 Daniel received over 1,000 kilograms of cocaine and returned more than $1 million to the organization. In total, officials say they seized around 170 kilograms of heroin, 10 kilograms of cocaine, 8 kilograms of marijuana, over $1 million in cash, and 41 firearms. Officials say the heroin bust may be the largest ever in Georgia history. Daniels is now in custody indicted on federal charges including intent to distribute heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
