At least one man was killed, and eight others were wounded Sunday afternoon after three men opened fire on a busy street in Washington D.C. The victims -- all adults, and one female -- were taken to the hospital following the deadly shooting, which happened just before 5 p.m. at a vibrant neighborhood in the Columbia Heights area. At least one man died and two others were listed in serious condition as of Sunday evening, while the others had non-life-threatening injuries. “This type of brazen daylight activity in a very, very busy block I’m sure was scary for this community,” Police Chief Peter Newsham said during a news conference at the scene. “They are putting everyone in this community in jeopardy."

A man was killed and eight others were injured in a shooting in Northwest D.C. Sunday evening, according to police.
Seven people have been killed and 43 others, including seven teenage boys, have been wounded in shootings across Chicago so far this weekend, FOX 32 reported. The latest fatal shooting left a man dead early Sunday in Little Village on the Southwest Side. The 20-year-old was shot about 2:55 a.m. in the 3200 block of West Cermak Road, according to Chicago police. He was dropped off at Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to his right cheek and the right side of his abdomen and pronounced dead a short time later.

At least two people were arrested in Seattle and a police officer is in the hospital Sunday after a march through downtown devolved into property damage and looting. Police said Sunday evening the demonstrators had broken out several windows of the East Precinct. The demonstration started between 2 and 3 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Pine Street. Around 2:30 p.m., Seattle journalist Katie Daviscourt tweeted a video of a crowd of people outside an Amazon Go building. Several people were seen spray-painting the building while others tried to smash the windows. Seattle police tweeted shortly before 5 p.m. that the crowd had continued to march on Pike Street from downtown and two people had been arrested outside of the West Precinct. Police said demonstrators had thrown rocks, bottles, and other items at officers and at least one officer had been transported to the hospital.
A gunman disguised as a delivery driver shot and killed the son of a federal judge and wounded her husband at their New Jersey home on Sunday, ABC News reported. U.S. District Judge Esther Salas was not injured in the shooting, which the FBI, U.S. Marshals and local authorities are investigating. The gunman showed up to Salas’s home in North Brunswick, N.J., wearing an outfit described to police as a FedEx uniform. Both Mark Anderl, 63, a defense attorney and former Essex County assistant prosecutor, and Daniel Anderl, 20, a student at Catholic University in D.C., were shot after one of them opened the door for the gunman around 5 p.m. Salas’s son died and her husband was rushed to the hospital for surgery. Mark Anderl is now in stable condition. The FBI said it is looking for one suspect.
