The Chester Police Department has released an officer bodycam video that shows the fatal shooting of a Black suspect outside a Walmart last November. The video released to The Herald Friday morning shows an officer with his gun drawn approaching the suspect. The video also shows the shooting, and officers later removing a gun from the suspect’s body. There also are enhanced photos that show the gun in the suspect’s possession. Ariane McCree, who was handcuffed with his hands behind his back at the time of the shooting, died in the Nov. 23 incident. The Herald is showing only a limited segment of the video to omit some of the more graphic scenes. The bodycam video has no audio, Chester Police Chief Eric Williams said. According to the State Law Enforcement Divison and the S.C. Attorney General’s Office, McCree had a gun and charged at police while in handcuffs.

#WANTED! UK. London's Metropolitan Police Service hunts for a black man who previously stabbed one of the protesters.
London, UK. The Met police issued a Section 60 order, giving police greater power to stop and search citizens. The decision to extend powers was granted after the Met received reports of individuals coming to the city with weapons. Police moved to clear the area around Waterloo station as word of "pyrotechnics and knives" raised concerns of further violence into the night. The protests were meant to wind down by 5 p.m. BST, but it does not appear that all protesters or activists have complied. A tactical support group officer just advised to clear the area due to 'pyrotechnics and knives' in the area. They've brought out police dogs as well.
Ten members of a police #SWAT team in a South Florida city quit the unit this week, concerned about “today’s political climate” and its impact on their jobs, according to a report. In a letter dated Tuesday, the officers in Hallandale Beach, Broward County, complained of being “minimally equipped, under trained and often times restrained” in performing their duties. The officers – who were leaving the SWAT unit but not resigning from the force -- wrote that they were concerned that city officials were “placing the safety of dogs over the safety of team members.” The letter and resignations came as police officers across the U.S. were facing a high level of scrutiny and criticism following the May 25 death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.
