The San Antonio Food Bank distributed one million pounds of food to roughly 6,000 families in a single day as millions across the country turn to charity organizations to avoid going hungry amid coronavirus lockdowns. Stunning aerial photos show thousands of cars lined up at Trader's Plaza in San Antonio during the massive food distribution event on Thursday. Families in need waited hours to get their hands on fresh fruit, vegetables and other non-perishable goods that have become hard to find in traditional stores as panic-buying leaves shelves empty. 'The need is that great,' San Antonio Food Bank President and CEO Eric Cooper said of the huge turnout. 'We are moving through food so fast, this is our second big distribution this week, but there are hundreds of distributions that are going on all the time.

Drone footage shows inmates in hazmat suits digging graves on NYC's Hart Island suggesting that coronavirus victims could already be being temporarily buried there, as morgues across the city continue to overflow and the death toll ticks up. Drone footage…
Workers wearing hazmat suits have been spotted burying caskets in a mass grave on New York's Hart Island - as the number of burials quadruples amid the coronavirus pandemic and the city's death roll rises to 4,778. A dozen contracted laborers were seen digging and burying the caskets - some of which had names carved on them - April 2. The city has used Hart Island to bury New Yorkers with no known next of kin or whose family are unable to arrange a funeral since the 19th century. Typically, about 25 bodies are buried there once a week by low-paid Rikers Island jail inmates. That number began increasing last month as the new coronavirus spread rapidly and New York became the epicenter of the pandemic.
