In terms of fatalities, Italy's death toll is the highest across with the globe with more than 18,000 cases. The US follows with 16,715 and then Spain with 15,300. New York state's death toll as of Thursday was just over 7,000.

On March 11, 2020, around 2:35 p.m., the suspect exited an MTA bus near the area of 5000 block of Exposition Boulevard and waited for the victim. As the victim exited the bus, the suspect blind sided him and punched him on the side of the face, knocking him unconscious. While the victim was lying on the ground, the suspect then stomped on his face and fled the scene southbound La Brea Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a 20 to 30-year-old male Black. He stands around 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He was wearing dark shoes, white socks, dark shorts, and dark hoodie.

A Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was fatally shot while responding to a domestic violence call Thursday afternoon. Officer Breann Leath and two other officers responded to the Harrison Terrace apartments at 2:50 p.m. local time when someone inside the apartment opened fire. Officer Breann Leath, 24, was shot at an apartment complex on the city’s far east side. Leath died at Eskanazi Hospital, Chief Randal Taylor said. A suspect was taken into custody, said Deputy Police Chief Chris Bailey. A female civilian also was shot, he said. “Officer Leath turned toward the danger," Mayor Joe Hogsett said at a news conference outside the hospital. #RIP
