The world's major airlines are bracing for impact amid the coronavirus outbreak, with United, Delta and Virgin drastically slashing their flight schedule, taking other cost-cutting measures, and storing their large aircraft which will be out of use. The airlines have requested a bailout package from the government, ranging between $45 billion to $65 billion. It comes as industry group, Airlines for America, has estimated that the nation's seven largest airlines will run out of money completely between June and the end of the year. Many of the airlines' wide-body passenger planes will be put into storage while demand is low. The aircraft, which include A330, A350, 767 and 777s, will be stored at Marana in Arizona, and Birmingham, Alabama. Earlier today, United CEO Oscar Munoz and President Scott Kirby sent a letter to the airline's 100,000 employees, which was made public on Sunday, announcing that flight routes will be slashed 50 per cent in April in May.

A violent fight broke out inside an Iowa Walmart on Thursday involving four women, including the heavily pregnant daughter of boxer Antwun Echols. Cellphone video recorded inside the Davenport Walmart captured the altercation, which began as a verbal argument between three acquaintances, but quickly escalated to a physical confrontation. According to the person who recorded the video, the initial dispute was over hand sanitizing products, which have become scarce in the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic. #facepalm

President Donald Trump on Monday released a series of coronavirus guidelines to slow the spread that calls for a lockdown of America, including the closing of restaurants and schools. 'Each and every one of us has a critical role to play in stopping the spread,' the president said in the White House briefing room. And while his guidelines will be revisited after the initial 15 day proposal, the president warned the virus could affect American life well into the summer. 'People are talking about July, August, something like that,' Trump said. 'They could be right in that period of time where it washes through.'
