Federal immigration officials arrested an MS-13 gang member after they received word he threatened to shoot police in New York City, a law enforcement source told Fox News. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took Armando Clemente Ramos into custody after it was alleged he threatened officers in the 41st precinct in the Bronx โ the same precinct where two officers were shot less than a week ago. Ramos, who is undocumented, is being held on immigration-related charges. "Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) was made aware of a threat to the law enforcement community here in New York City. As a result, HSI special agents investigated the threat and subsequently made an arrest," an HSI official told Fox News in a statement. "The investigation is still ongoing."
Authorities in California announced Friday that they had arrested two teenagers in connection with the murder of two juvenile boys who were viciously gunned down while sitting in a van outside of an elementary school this past November, FOX NEWS reported. State Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced that 18-year-old Jason Cornejo, 18, of Castro Valley, and a 17-year-old boy had been charged by the Alameda County District Attorney with the murders of Sean Withington, 14, and Kevin Hernandez, 11. Withington and Hernandez were sitting in a van outside Searles Elementary School, 30 miles southeast of San Francisco when a gunman opened fire. A federal judge ordered the state of Kentucky to pay more than $150,000 to groups representing a self-described atheist for denying him a personalized "IM GOD" license plate, reported FOX NEWS. Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove issued the decision, three months after he declared the state's action unconstitutional. Ben Hart, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Freedom From Religion Foundation, sued the state in 2016 after he moved from Ohio, where he had "IM GOD" as a personal message on a state plate that read "One Nation Under God." He was denied getting the same personal message on his new plate, which in Kentucky reads "In God We Trust." The state said it rejected the plate because it was "not in good taste," and argued it could distract drivers and create confrontations. But Tatenhove ruled in November that "vanity plates are private speech protected by the First Amendment."

The United States will tomorrow evacuate the 428 Americans trapped aboard a cruise ship in Japan as the number of coronavirus-infected passengers continues to climb. Two State Department planes will be dispatched to airlift the stranded citizens and their families to Travis Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. Once on US soil, they will undergo a further 14 days of quarantine, sparking 'apprehension' among passengers who have been under lock-down aboard the Diamond Princess since February 5. The cruise ship initially had 3,700 passengers and crew, but during its quarantine in Yokahama some have been carted off the liner to be treated for the deadly infection. The rescue mission comes as the number of confirmed cases on the ship jumped 67 on Saturday, bringing the total number of diagnoses to 285.
Feminist protesters hurled blood-red paint at Mexico's presidential palace yesterday as thousands of women protested against the gruesome murder and mutilation of a young woman who was 'stabbed, skinned and dismembered.' Protesters spray-painted slogans such as 'femicide state' and 'We won't be silenced' on the doorway of the National Palace as President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was holding his daily news conference inside. The heated Valentine's Day demonstration was sparked by outrage over the murder of 25-year-old Ingrid Escamilla in Mexico City and the publication of graphic photos of her mutilated corpse in newspapers. Her killing is the latest in a wave of brutal murders of women that have been dubbed 'femicides' by the protesters.
