New cases of new coronavirus in Singapore and Malaysia both came from Chinese tourists
The latest case found in Singapore was a 36-year-old Chinese resident of Wuhan, who arrived in Singapore with his family on January 22. She is currently in stable condition and treated in isolation in hospital.
The woman stayed at the Sentosa Village Hotel before being admitted to the hospital. Singapore's Ministry of Health is tracking people whom she has in close contacts.
In Malaysia, the latest confirmed case is a 40-year-old, also a Wuhan resident. He arrived at Malaysia also on January 22 with a tour group through Singapore. The remaining 17 people of the tour group, including his wife and children, have undergone medical examination. All of them have no symptoms of infection, but still being observed in isolation.
