(WARNING: 21+) Vallejo Police Department Jan 22, 2020 Shooting Investigation - 500 Block Fairgrounds Drive FINAL UPDATE On Sunday, November 10,2019 at approximately 5:25 PM, Vallejo Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Fairgrounds…
The preliminary investigation revealed Reason was driving away from the gas pumps located in the hopping complex, when off-duty Richmond Police Department Sergeant, Virgil Thomas, driving his personal vehicle, pulled into the parking lot of the shopping complex. The two vehicles momentarily stopped while facing one another and Sgt. Thomas honked his car horn to audibly warn the other driver of his immediate presence.

Sgt. Thomas then pulled his personal vehicle into one of the parking stalls and exited his vehicle. Reason then stopped his vehicle, perpendicular to the officer's vehicle, rolled down the window, and began yelling at Sgt. Thomas. Reason then exited his vehicle and walked within inches of Sgt. Thomas while directing profanities at him. Reason then walked back to his vehicle, opened the hood, and retrieved a rag containing a handgun. Reason armed himself with a
handgun and approached Sgt. Thomas a second time.

Sgt. Thomas subsequently drew his weapon and fired at Reason in response to an observed threat. Reason fled with the gun in his hand and at some point raised the gun. Sgt. Thomas believed that Reason still posed an immediate threat to the safety of Sgt. Thomas, his wife, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and other patrons of the shopping complex. Sgt. Thomas subsequently fired his weapon at Reason. Reason was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation will continue and the findings will be determined by the District Attorney's

Two Tuolumne County men have been arrested on charges related to child pornography, CBS13 reported. Tuolumne County sheriff’s detectives arrested 36-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez of Sonora after a months-long investigation. In December, the Internet Crimes Against Children task force tipped off detectives about Rodriguez’s alleged criminal activity. Detectives investigated the claims and subsequently arrested Rodriguez. He was then booked into jail on charges related to possession of child pornography, according to a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office statement. The case is still active. Anyone with information about Rodriguez is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Riley at (209) 694-2930. Then sheriff’s department detectives arrested 53-year-old Michael Pavao of Sonora on similar charges. Just as in Rodriguez’s case, ICAC provided detectives with information leading to Pavao’s arrest.

Immediately after Facebook screwed up with the translation of the name of the ruler of China, Apple's turn came. Siri's voice assistant, when asked about the Israeli president, referred to the American Online Encyclopedia "Wikipedia", which in turn stated that a country in Western Asia is a "Zionist occupation state."

And although in reality the President of Israel is a position that performs representative and ceremonial functions and is not actually vested with power, the international community quickly revealed Siri's mistake.

Man attacked near Oakland homeless encampment. Twenty-one year-old Max Zimmer showed us some bruises on his back, and the smashed windows of his pick-up truck, the visible damages of what he says was an attack near a homeless encampment in Oakland. He said he was driving home to Alameda from his construction job Tuesday afternoon when he got off at the High Street exit in Oakland. But he took too tight a turn on Alameda Avenue not far from the Home Depot, and skidded onto a curb. Zimmer said when he got out to check on his truck he was confronted by people who had come over from the homeless encampment across the street. He said one of the men told him he had run over one of their agave plants they were selling and wanted $300. He said he gave them the few dollars he had on him. Then he found himself surrounded by at least 10 people, some with sticks and two-by-fours. "I started getting beat. I was in the fetal position for 30-45 seconds," Zimmer said. He ran back to his truck. "They started busting out the window two by fours. Zimmer said she saw police arrest at least one man.
The deadly new coronavirus spreading across Asia is far more contagious than previously feared and can be spread third-hand via a simple cough or sneeze, medics have today confirmed. Eighteen people with the virus are now confirmed to have died and more than 600 have been infected in at least 10 countries. But experts predict the true number of people with the disease could be as many as 10,000 as they warn it may kill as many as two in 100 cases. Nine towns and cities in China are now in lockdown while officials battle to stop the spread of the deadly new coronavirus. Major Chinese New Year events in Beijing have been cancelled, authorities in Ezhou have shut down train stations, and Huanggang has announced it will suspend public buses and trains. The development comes as Wuhan – the city at the centre of the outbreak – remains in lockdown, with all flights in and outbound cancelled, residents banned from leaving and scenes of chaos as desperate families fight for food supplies. ☣️

Someone sent us a photo of this C8 Corvette with its wheels and tires stolen. The car was parked on the street in Detroit, Michigan, in a neighborhood called the West Village. We assume this is a GM-owned car, as the C8 isn't on sale yet at Chevy dealerships. Looking for a set of Corvette C8 wheels and tires at a steep discount? Check Craigslist in Detroit, because we can verify that there's a set missing from this black 2020 Chevy Corvette C8 that someone spotted on the street in the West Village. The poor mid-engined Corvette is now sitting on cinderblocks with its rear end resting on the ground, so it's likely that the criminals inflicted some damage in the process of swiping the wheels.
