If this were a group of white attackers, the media would be reporting on this for 47 days straight, the ADL would be calling for more antisemitism laws, and the POCs in Congress would be calling for another hearing on white nationalism. Since this attack, and actually less than 10% of anti-Jewish attacks, are perpetrated by whites - the media will remain silent until the right type of perpetrator surfaces. https://twitter.com/chabadlubavitch/status/1211807086306365440?s=21

Iraqi President Barham Salih rejected on Tuesday attempts to breach the United States embassy in Baghdad, saying they were a violation of binding international agreements to protect foreign missions that the Iraqi government is signatory to. โ€œThe attempt to break the American embassy in Baghdad is a violation of international protocols and agreements binding to the Iraqi government,โ€ he said in a statement, reported Reuters. โ€œPeaceful protest is a right guaranteed and protected by the constitution but attacking foreign missions is against its interest and international reputation.โ€ Salih called on the Iraqi security forces to protect all foreign missions and on the protesters to leave the embassy perimeter.

The deputy was struck by gunfire six times. The deputy was able to return fire and the suspect fled the scene. Area residents, who had heard the gunshots, found the injured deputy and radioed for help. The deputy was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. This year is ending as one of the least deadly for police officers in decades. As of Tuesday, Dec. 31, statistics from the Officer Down Memorial Page, which tracks the deaths of officers in the U.S. and its territories, indicate that 131 police officers have died in 2019 โ€” the lowest annual total since 1959, when 122 were killed. โ€œIt is because of improved equipment, training and vigilance โ€“ together with the incredible work of heroic trauma teams at hospitals nationwide โ€“ that the numbers arenโ€™t growing,โ€ Jim Pasco, the executive director of the National Fraternal Order of Police, told Fox News.

The wind - of all things - toppled a New York City wind turbine which then crushed an unoccupied parked car, according to reports. The incident Monday afternoon in the Bronx had elected officials who represent the area shaking their heads. โ€œA wind turbine should not be able to be taken down by the wind,โ€ the New York Post quoted Jamaal Bailey, who serves in the New York State Senate, as saying. The wind turbine was erected recently atop a six-story parking garage, according to reports. No injuries were reported, according to Fox 5 New York. The station reported the wind turbine went up only two weeks ago. On the way down, the wind turbine also struck an electronic billboard that has been the subject of lawsuits involving the billboardโ€™s owner and the New York City Buildings Department, according to the station. The New York Fire Department is investigating.
