At least seven people have been killed in two brutal winter storms swirling over the country as 125million people from coast to coast brace for snow, freezing rain and flight cancellation and delays. One blizzard is pummeling the West Coast and another is bearing down on the East Coast, where it's forecast to drop 10 to 20 inches of snow by Tuesday morning from Pennsylvania to Maine. The wintry weather created a travel nightmare for millions trying to return home from the Thanksgiving holiday. As of Monday morning more than 200 flights within, into or out of the U.S. were cancelled and over 800 delayed. As snow fell over New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo spotted a road accident and helped calm a shaken family and take them to safety.❄️

Wisconsin authorities said an officer shot an armed male student at a suburban Milwaukee high school after the suspect refused to disarm and pointed his gun at officers. Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack said that a student first warned the resource officer that a 17-year-old classmate had a gun at around 10.17am Monday morning. Jack said the resource officer went to the classroom to confront the student and get students in the room to safety. Waukesha officers and sheriff's deputies soon arrived to de-escalate the situation but the suspect 'continued to ignore officers' commands'. Jack said the officer who shot the student is an 11-year veteran of the Waukesha police department. The suspect is in stable condition, authorities said. The police chief did not release additional information. 👮🏻‍♂️

Pennsylvania prosecutors investigating the hanging deaths of a 4-year-old girl and her 8-year-old brother have charged their mother with murder in their deaths. Police had reported the children of 36-year-old Lisa Snyder, Conner and Brinley, had been found hanged with a dog leash in the basement of their Albany Township home on Sept. 23. Snyder had suggested to a 911 dispatcher that Conner was suicidal because of bullying and took Brinley with him because he "didn't want to go alone." Snyder’s arrest was announced Monday by Berks County prosecutors. She was arrested at her home. “This was a horrific, tragic incident,” District Attorney John Adams told a news conference, Fox 32 Philadelphia reported. Snyder was also charged with child endangerment and having sex with a dog, the Allentown Morning Call reported.👮🏻‍♂️

A hostage standoff at a Michigan home left a 22-year-old father dead, three police officers wounded and the suspected gunman ultimately in custody after what officials described as “40 minutes of mayhem.”, FOX News reports. Christopher Ryan Lee Neal was watching television with his wife and child in their Comstock Township home Sunday night when an intruder broke in and took him hostage, Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller said Monday at a news conference. Officials from the sheriff’s office, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety and Michigan State Police responded to the scene but before officials could initiate a full SWAT callout, authorities heard a gunshot from inside the home. Officers charged into the house “to try and save lives”. Despite the suspect firing multiple rounds at the officers, law enforcement did not fire back out of concern a bullet could strike one of the innocent victims still inside the house. Fuller said that gutsy decision allowed the suspect to be taken into custody alive.👮🏻‍♂️
