A new neo-Nazi scandal has erupted in the German military, this time in its Special Forces Command, according to the Bild am Sonntag. An officer in the elite military unit is strongly suspected of involvement in the right-wing extremist scene, the paper reported on Sunday. The Bundeswehr is set to suspend an officer in an elite military unit over suspected ties to right-wing extremism. Two other fellow soldiers have also been accused of flashing the Hitler salute. The Special Forces Command is responsible for rescuing people who have been kidnapped, taken hostage or are facing terrorist threats abroad. Christof Gramm, the head of MAD, recently reported that they are currently investigating 20 soldiers in the elite unit over suspected links to right-wing extremists.

Four "dangerous" teens โ€” including one accused of killing a young Tennessee musician and another who's charged in the murder of a 19-year-old man โ€” escaped juvenile detention late Saturday night and remained the targets of an intense manhunt Monday, officials said. Decorrius Wright, 16, Morris Marsh, 17, Brandon Caruthers, 17, and Calvin Howse, 15, all fled the Juvenile Detention Center in Nashville just before 10 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities. The four teens were part of a supervised work detail when the person overseeing them left the quartet unattended in order to deal with a fight that broke out in another part of the detention facility, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a news release. The group "managed to get onto an elevator and used staff protocols to ride to the ground floor where they went through a series of doors and exited to the outside."๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ #WANTED

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson was fired weeks before his planned retirement due to "ethical lapses" and being "intentionally dishonest" about a controversial October incident, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Monday in a stinging rebuke of the city's former top cop, the Chicago Tribune reports. The stunning announcement came just weeks after Lightfoot held what she called Monday โ€œa celebratory press conferenceโ€ to announce Johnsonโ€™s resignation by yearโ€™s end after about 3 1/2 years at the helm. Former Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck, previously named Johnsonโ€™s interim successor, was on a flight to Chicago and would immediately take control of the beleaguered department, Lightfoot told reporters.
Today, less than 24 hours after being shot, our #LAPD officer was released from the hospital. Last night was a sobering reminder of the dangers police officers face when they put on the uniform โ€” but they never shy away from protecting and serving their communities.๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

At least seven people have been killed in two brutal winter storms swirling over the country as 125million people from coast to coast brace for snow, freezing rain and flight cancellation and delays. One blizzard is pummeling the West Coast and another is bearing down on the East Coast, where it's forecast to drop 10 to 20 inches of snow by Tuesday morning from Pennsylvania to Maine. The wintry weather created a travel nightmare for millions trying to return home from the Thanksgiving holiday. As of Monday morning more than 200 flights within, into or out of the U.S. were cancelled and over 800 delayed. As snow fell over New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo spotted a road accident and helped calm a shaken family and take them to safety.โ„๏ธ

Wisconsin authorities said an officer shot an armed male student at a suburban Milwaukee high school after the suspect refused to disarm and pointed his gun at officers. Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack said that a student first warned the resource officer that a 17-year-old classmate had a gun at around 10.17am Monday morning. Jack said the resource officer went to the classroom to confront the student and get students in the room to safety. Waukesha officers and sheriff's deputies soon arrived to de-escalate the situation but the suspect 'continued to ignore officers' commands'. Jack said the officer who shot the student is an 11-year veteran of the Waukesha police department. The suspect is in stable condition, authorities said. The police chief did not release additional information. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
