NEW: A dozen saguaros, some more than 50 years old, were chopped up and shot at over the weekend near Four Peaks in the Tonto National Forest, Arizona ,a local conservation group said.

The area was a Natural Restorations replanting site, and volunteers planted the saguaros there in 2020 and 2024. Some of the cacti were up to 60 years old.

โ€œThey were established and thriving in the 2020 Bush Fire burn scar,โ€ the nonprofit said in a Facebook post.

Two to three feet of some saguaros were chopped off the top, and the heads were tossed into the desert, the nonprofit said. Some of the saguaros had bullet and BB holes in them.

If you saw anyone target shooting from the 2nd staging area at Four Peaks over the weekend, please contact law enforcement, or at 480-610-3300.

Rank may define our responsibilities and jurisdiction may define our boundaries, but neither changes our commitment to serving the community.

San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus alongside Assistant Sheriff Ernie Perez, and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco were both captured doing the same thing: stepping up to help motorists by pushing disabled vehicles out of the roadway.

The San Bernardino County Sheriffโ€™s Department and Riverside County Sheriffโ€™s Department share a common mission: to serve, protect, and lead by example, regardless of rank or jurisdiction.

We challenge everyone who wears the badge to step up when it matters. Remember, making a difference starts with showing up.

Serving the community isnโ€™t just part of the job. Itโ€™s the reason we do it.

JUST IN: The Hillsborough County Sheriffโ€™s Office has released footage from todayโ€™s deadly shooting at the CitiBank Center in Brandon, just outside Tampa, Florida.

"At 12:11 p.m., our 911 Dispatch Center received calls of shots fired. Deputies arrived within one minute and entered the building. Inside the cafeteria, a Citibank armed security guard shot the suspect, who was later pronounced deceased at TGH. One victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

More than 3,200 people were on campus. More than 400 law enforcement personnel responded, including 367 HCSO deputies. We are grateful to all our partners.

โ€œThis was a tragic situation where a victim was killed by an individual who was intent on killing as many people as possible," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. โ€œThanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else."

โš ๏ธAI-Generated Scams: Don't Believe Everything You See or Hear
Scammers are using artificial intelligence (AI) to imitate voices, create realistic videos, and send convincing messages that appear to come from people you know or trust.
Imagine receiving a phone call from someone who sounds exactly like a family member asking for money because of an emergency. The voice may sound familiar, but the person on the other end may be a scammer.
If you receive an unexpected or suspicious request, take a moment to verify it. Hang up and contact the person directly using a number you know. Never send money or share personal information simply because someone sounds or looks familiar.
Technology is changing, and so are the tactics scammers use. A few extra moments to verify could prevent you from becoming a victim.

WATCH: Ron DeSantis just named the real reason Republicans got wiped out, and it was not the president.

"Our voters who stayed home, they stayed home because they were frustrated with the lack of productivity."

Then he listed what Congress never did!

Never codified Trump's immigration orders. Never touched H-1B. Never stripped jurisdiction from the courts over deportation cases.

And here is the proof that it mattered. A federal judge vacated the $100,000 H-1B fee in June. An order a single district judge can erase is not a policy.

Thune and Johnson had the Senate, the House, and the White House. They ran the clock out.

Voters do not grade effort. They grade output.

That is the whole autopsy.

๐Ÿ’™ Celebrating a lifetime of service! ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ
As a young boy, Alfred Delacruz dreamed of becoming a police officer. In 1971, that dream became a reality when he joined the Honolulu Police Department.
But he had two more goals: working undercover and riding a solo motorcycle. He went on to accomplish both, serving in HPDโ€™s Narcotics/Vice Division and as a solo bike officer before finishing his patrol career in District 5 in 1999.
But his service to HPD didnโ€™t end there!
On the very same day he retired from active duty, he signed up to become a reserve officer, continuing his commitment to the department and the community for another 27 years.
Today, as Reserve Officer Delacruz officially retires from the reserve program, we celebrate his remarkable career and thank him for more than five decades of service, dedication, and commitment to the people of Oสปahu.
Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, Officer Delacruz! Once HPD สปohana, always HPD สปohana! ๐Ÿ’™
