🚨 A MESSAGE FROM CHIEF BRICE CURRENT

Durango, we still have neighbors stranded, families displaced, and emergency crews working to reach those affected by last night's flooding

Right now, we need everyone to work together

⚠️ The Animas River is CLOSED to recreation. Dangerous currents, debris, and potential sewage contamination make entering the water extremely hazardous

🚧 All pedestrian bridges over the Animas River and the Animas River Trail remain CLOSED

Please don't create another emergency when our responders are already stretched thin

Instead, check on your neighbors when it's safe. Look out for one another

Chief Current also wants to recognize something remarkable: Durango showed up for Durango last night. Neighbors opened their doors, offered shelter, and helped people get through a difficult night

That's the community we know and love.

Let's keep that going. Stay safe, stay out of the river, and take care of each other.

We'll continue sharing updates as conditions change.

BREAKING: OPERATION PROTECT THE VOTE
My office today charged six more noncitizens for illegally registering and voting, bringing California’s total to 34.
Defendants announced today:
β€’ Sirgalahad Camua, 43, of Palmdale, voted by mail in May 2020, November 2024 and June 2026.
β€’ Krystel Capi Valle, 31, of Palmdale, voted by mail in November 2022.
β€’ Moria Dahan, 35, of West Hills, voted in person in the November 2024 general election.
β€’ Chad Goertz, 52, of Agua Dulce, voted by mail in November 2022 and November 2024.
β€’ Mahyar Nikzad, 35, of Canoga Park, voted in March and November 2024.
β€’ Gilberto Ruiz, 46, of Palmdale, voted by mail in November 2022, March 2024 and November 2024.
We have charged 34 defendants in Operation Protect the Vote. Every name was on the list provided to California officials. Every illegal ballot dilutes an American citizen’s vote, which is illegal and unconstitutional.
Every person charged is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

A rainbow in November? We’ll take it!

Enjoy the rainbows while they last, South Dakota! Before long, those raindrops will turn to snow, and rainbows will be replaced by snowdrifts.

Talk about mind-blowing. Tesla’s Roadster drove upside down, flew into the air, and landed gently. It was also covered by two patents, which raises the question:

What other game-changing products are in the works right now?
