Congratulations on 32 Years of Dedicated Service!

The Michigan State Police would like to congratulate Trooper Williams on his retirement after 32 years of dedicated service to the department and the citizens of Michigan!
A proud member of the 109th Trooper Recruit School, Tpr. Williams began his career in 1994 at the Brighton Post. He later served in the Gaming Section before transferring to the Metro North Post in 2011, where he continued serving until his retirement on October 31, 2026.
Throughout his career, Tpr. Williams demonstrated a commitment to public service and the communities he served.

Thank you, Tpr. Williams, for 32 years of service, dedication, and commitment to the Michigan State Police. We wish you nothing but the best as you begin this well-deserved next chapter!

Jewish activist Lizzy Benichou recounts an alleged death threat from a student at the University of Michigan after a confrontation that left her knocked to the ground.

Benichou claims the student made the chilling statement while being placed into a police car, referring to a previous stay in a mental institution.

La Plata Colorado flooding update: La Plata County Sheriff Sean Smith has lifted the countywide road closure; however, hazardous road conditions and widespread damage remain. Sheriff’s deputies and Road and Bridge Division supervisors are continuing to assess closed and damaged roads, and the full extent of the impact is not yet known. Residents are strongly urged to stay home and avoid all nonessential travel. Anyone who must travel for urgent needs should use extreme caution, expect closures and damaged roadways, and never attempt to enter a closed area. A road-closure list follows, but residents should be aware that it does not include every affected road.

I would like to extend my personal congratulations to NYPD Detective Diana Pecoraro as she retires from the Department she has served with pride, expertise, and professionalism for over 41 years. She exemplifies the Finest of the Finest. My wife, Rikki, and I wish her well in all her future endeavors. She is a great friend and professional colleague.
