NEW: President Donald J. Trump is heading to Iowa and Kansas for back-to-back rallies today, while new figures show early voting is up nationwide compared with the last midterms.

Seven key Senate states are seeing double-digit increases in early voting, with South Carolina posting the biggest jump, followed by gains in Texas, Maine, North Carolina, Kansas, Michigan and Iowa.

The numbers come with Election Day just two days away.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Multiple people were injured in two separate shootings near MSU on Halloween night. Ring video captured gunfire during one. Students told MDN they were concerned about receiving no MSU alert. Police had not released details as of Sunday morning.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Authorities in Fayetteville, Arkansas are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting that left six people injured.

Police say the incident occurred along West Avenue, in the area between Watson and Dickson streets. Officers were called to the scene at approximately 1:41 a.m., according to Sgt. Stephen Mauk of the Fayetteville Police Department.

At this time, officials have not disclosed the identities or ages of the victims. Details about what led to the gunfire have also not been made public.

This debate over noncitizens on California’s voter rolls could be resolved in under a day if California simply used the same federal database it has relied on for 40 years to confirm Medi-Cal applicants’ citizenship.

California has raised no issues with this database for Medi-Cal, so why not use it to check voter eligibility.

Noncitizens voting is illegal under federal and state law. California could quickly run its unredacted voter rolls through the federal citizenship database. 34 states already do this to confirm noncitizens aren’t voting, giving everyone confidence in the upcoming election results.
