A K-9 alert led U.S. Border Patrol agents to conduct a secondary inspection of a Jaguar sedan, resulting in more than 30 bundles concealed in the trunk.

The substance in the bundles tested positive for methamphetamine, with an approximate weight of over 15 kilograms. Another approximately 20 grams of loose suspected methamphetamine was also seized, and the driver taken into custody.

The daily work of USBP agents and the K-9 teams continues to successfully keep a significant quantity of dangerous drugs from moving farther into the community.

NEW: The Crisp County Georgia Sheriff’s Office says that two people were hurt, including a deputy, after a crash caused a Crisp County cruiser to overturn, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

A deputy was traveling south on Highway 41 on the way to a structure fire with their lights and sirens activated. But, as the deputy was trying to pass a car, another vehicle attempted to turn left into a private driveway.

The sheriff’s office says that the deputy tried to avoid the crash but ended up hitting the vehicle.

The cruiser left the roadway and overturned.
According to the sheriff’s office release, the deputy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. They say the other driver also had minor injuries as well.

“Please keep everyone involved in your thoughts as they recover. We are thankful that the injuries were not more serious,” the sheriff’s office said in a post.
