"My son Dawson and I were at the Golden Bear gas station outside Jackson Hills and Officer Hill was getting gas. I got Dawson out of the car to go inside and I told him “look there’s a police car!” and Dawson started smiling and pointing at it saying how cool it was. Then Officer Hill turned on the blue lights, cause he saw us looking. Then we smiled at him and we walked in.
While we were inside, Officer Hill comes up to us and gives Dawson a “community strong, MJPD” bracelet. He said every little boy was once like Dawson and would get so excited for Police cars. He was so nice and made Dawson’s day! Thank you all for what you do!"
Officer Hill wasn't responding to a call or attending a community event. He was just getting gas. But he saw an opportunity to connect with a young member of our community and took it.
To Officer Hill, it may have been a small part of his day.
And to Dawson, keep smiling when you see those blue lights, buddy! We're glad Officer Hill made your day!

Residents say Los Angeles has seen a rise in drug overdoses, late night crime, and encampment fires prompting frequent responses from LAFD, LAPD, and paramedics. City officials maintain that addressing homelessness, addiction, and mental health emergencies is a top priority but community members argue that conditions are worsening faster than solutions can be implemented.

WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump hosts White House roundtable on cybercrime

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1UzdbLKqXv/

POTUS: For years, our nation has faced a growing menace of cybercrime perpetrated by fraudsters, hackers, and scammers who try to steal Americans' money, prey on senior citizens, and exploit children through fraud, ransomware, impersonation schemes, and other illegal acts.

We've prevented $1.6B in losses — at least — this year, frozen nearly $1B of cybercurrency tied to foreign scammers, shut down 500+ fraudulent websites, and coordinated to disrupt millions of online accounts associated with foreign criminals.

POTUS: "The other day, I was talking to Vladimir Putin about settling his war with Ukraine... I mentioned, 'Could you let Stephen Hubbard out please?' and he agreed to do it. He was met today in Russia — and he's on his way back."

This isn’t the average ‘65 Mustang coupe. 🧡

It’s a K-Code car with the 289 high performance 289 V8, rated at 271 hp when new and backed here by a 4-speed manual. This one is finished in factory Poppy Red with a black interior, Rally-PAC gauges and the little “High Performance 289” badges on the fenders.

The K-Code was the Mustang you ordered when the regular V8 wasn’t enough. And yeah, it sounds pretty good pulling up too.

See you at the club. ♠️

BREAKING: The intensifying voter fraud case between Trump Admin & CA was initially assigned to a Trump appointed judge, Holcomb -- but it was just transferred to another judge: Clinton appointed Judge David Carter. Carter previously ruled in favor of CA by throwing out the case in which Feds were seeking CA voter roll.

How does one California voter end up with two ballots?

Matt Finn says it happened to him during the primary, and now thousands of voters in Tulare County are experiencing the same problem ahead of the midterms.

According to the Los Angeles Times, 7,791 voters received duplicate ballots after a private printing vendor made a mistake. The company has accepted responsibility, and county officials say safeguards will prevent extra ballots from being counted.

Meanwhile, California is locked in a separate legal battle with the Trump administration over roughly 20,000 ballots the federal government says belong to noncitizens.

Multiple tasks competing for an officer's attention during a rapidly evolving encounter can create cognitive bottlenecks that delay recognition, decision-making and response times at critical moments.

John Travolta, is that you? 👀

In honor of National Teen Driver Safety Week, we’re throwing it back to 1987, when John Travolta appeared on the cover of The California Highway Patrolman magazine in support of the CHP’s Sober Graduation program.

The campaign encouraged young people to celebrate graduation without drinking and driving, a message CHP officers helped carry into communities across California.

Nearly 40 years later, this cover is a pretty great reminder of CHP’s long history of educating young drivers and helping keep California’s roads safe. 🚔

Who remembers this issue?

Message from Fort Worth Police Chief Eddie Garcia:

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Officer Brian Gentry #3403.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, while on-duty, Brian experienced a medical emergency and went to a local hospital emergency room. He was abruptly admitted to the ICU and passed away hours later on October 21, 2026.

Brian has been with the department since 2004 and assigned to the Fugitive Unit as a U.S. Marshal’s Task Force Officer.

The loss of a member of our department is deeply personal. Brian was one of our own, and his passing will be felt by the many people who had the privilege of working alongside him and calling him a friend.

Our thoughts are with Brian’s family, loved ones, and fellow officers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.🙏🏻
