Last night, Corporal Niomi Bruce’s patrol vehicle was struck from behind while she was assisting at a crash scene on I-75. The damage makes clear how much worse this could have been.

This afternoon, Sheriff Chad Chronister visited Corporal Bruce at Tampa General Hospital, where she was remarkably, in high spirits and is now released from the hospital. We’re thankful she’s recovering and will soon be back with her HCSO family.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Let this be a reminder: when you see flashing lights on the roadside, slow down and move over. It’s the law, and it saves lives.

Philadelphia paid its respects Tuesday to fallen officer Shane Seiber at funeral services at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Seiber and his partner, Hector Rodriguez, was shot on Oct. 10 near 52nd and Arch streets in West Philadelphia. Rodriguez, is still recovering from his injuries.

Commissioner Kevin Bethel reflected on the death of Seiber, who served two tours in Iraq before being killed in the line of duty in Philadelphia.

“They don’t serve because the work is safe," Bethel said. "They serve because they believe the work matters.”

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.🙏🏻

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to K9 Sabre, who retired in October 2022 after 6 years of service with the MCSO. We are especially thinking of his partner Deputy Priolo and his family who continued to care for Sabre into retirement.
No longer by your side, forever in your heart.

NEW: DHS confirms to FoxNews that ICE has launched a nationwide operation targeting illegal aliens who have been illegally collecting SNAP benefits, & ICE has made their first handful of arrests, including these four Haitian illegal aliens:
Rubstony Junior Theodore, whose prior arrests include larceny, obstruction of officers, and trespassing.
Wilbert Jean Baptiste, Louis Jean, and Jhensly Charles.
ICE: “These arrests mark the opening salvo in a sustained, large-scale ICE operation specifically targeting illegal aliens who have fraudulently accessed SNAP benefits that American taxpayers fund exclusively for U.S. citizens in need. Every one of these individuals entered the country unlawfully, then proceeded to draw from a program designed to feed struggling American families, in some cases while carrying criminal records”.
