NEW: A Norfolk VA Police officer was hurt following an overnight armed robbery that led to a stolen vehicle pursuit near Tidewater Drive.
Shortly after midnight on Oct. 15, police said a man reported his vehicle was stolen.
The investigation determined he had been robbed at gunpoint while pumping gas in the 300 block of East Little Creek Road at approximately 11 p.m. on Oct. 14. Police said the suspect stole the victim’s wallet, cellphone, keys and vehicle.
There were no injuries reported.
Officers located the stolen vehicle around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver fled, leading to a pursuit during which the suspect struck a police vehicle near Tidewater Drive and West Ocean View Avenue. The pursuit was ultimately terminated and the officer suffered minor injuries. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻

BREAKING: FBI confirms to FoxNews they’re investigating suspicious letters that were sent out nationwide with unknown substances in them, including to some offices on Capitol Hill.

FBI spox:

“The FBI and U.S. Postal Inspection Service are investigating a series of suspicious mailings sent to various addresses nationwide, including Secretary of State offices and their related election offices. Some of the letters contained an unknown substance and we are working closely with our law enforcement partners to respond to each incident. We are also working with our partners to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the letters. This FBI will continue to safeguard the public and secure elections for American citizens.”

Pensacola Police Detective Angela Nieto, End of Watch October 14, 2026.

An off-duty Pensacola Police Detective was killed in a motorcycle crash in Pensacola Wednesday evening.
The crash happened on the Bayou Chico Bridge on Barrancas Avenue around 8 p.m.
The deceased has been identified as Detective Angela Nieto.

ILHAN OMAR INVESTIGATION: Federal authorities have now seized Minnesota Rep Ilhan Omar's cell phone, as they dig into possible violations surrounding Omar's citizenship and her arrival in the U.S. in 1995.

A separate investigation into Omar is also underway regarding her financial disclosures. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro's office is handling that probe.

A suspect accused of stealing a vehicle allegedly slammed into a Tulsa police cruiser during a pursuit, injuring two officers before fleeing and later surrendering to authorities.

NEW: California-based federal judge Jinsook Ohta (Biden appointee) has ruled that the U.S. State Department must reinstate its Diversity Immigrant Visa lottery for fiscal year 2027 by Sunday.

The program offers permanent residency in the U.S. to 50,000+ applicants every year, typically from countries with lower immigration to the U.S. Many come from Africa.

The Trump admin suspended the program last year after a Portuguese national who came to the U.S. via the diversity lottery was suspected of a deadly shooting at Brown University & the murder of a MIT professor before taking his own life.
